Entropy Report post Posted August 1, 2004 You weren't banned, your ISP was blacklisted because of abuse from it. Sorry for that.

dopey086 Report post Posted August 1, 2004 But southwestern bell was banned? or all Bell isps?
Entropy Report post Posted August 1, 2004 Well, some or most of the Bell Canada was banned, and recently (today) another bell ISP (SBC, whatever that is). I guess it stands for South bell Canada? For some reason we missed that IP class, and there were some other abuse going on from it. Apparently some guy REALLY wants his ISP banned, I have no idea why. dopey086 Report post Posted August 1, 2004 Hmmmm, Mine is Southwestern Bell (swb) But SBC stands for all of southwesternbell corperation, so you banned alot of people with that one.
Entropy Report post Posted August 1, 2004 I know, it sucks that I had to ban so many IP ranges, but Bell is a very uncooperant ISP, they really don't care about abuse reports. They responded 4 weeks after I submited one, and asked for logs and such even tho I did send them logs. Such an attitude is totally innaceptable, and it's better to block an entire ISP that let everyone in the game suffer because of a few users. [edit] And what sucks is that Bell, just like AOL, gives totally different IPs each tiem you log in, so there is no way to ban only specific IPs, or to put some IPs on a white list.
