this is before the last adventure i posted, Salathe was in a battle against pirates, and he was shot and fell off the boat, he lost his necklace which has his mind inside it, without it, hes basically a retard

read my other thread for more info

Have hearing that after he fell off the boat... that veralion had picked up his necklace in the water then later, unknowing whose necklace it was, pawning to some drow merchants in Darishnia, Salathe heads out to the lizard shrine, looking to the statue, not feeling anything the way he used to. Now, only have been able to feel simple things, seeing light and dark all as blurs, not beauty, feeling touch and pain, not softness or toughness, hearing words, not voices, smelling nothing, feeling no feelings, no happiness nor anger, tasting almost nothing for the past few weeks Salathe now sets out to retrieve his necklace so all will be back to normal again.

He looks at the statue one last time, feeling nothing, he looks a way and jumps into the water and begins to swim rapidly to the east...

After haveing travelled all night and in the early morning he reaches Darishnia. As he emerges from the water, he recognizes the town from the last time he had come. Figuring that it will be quite easy to locate the drow merchants he enters the town and heads for the market. Walking into the market he looks around to see a large amount of people at different stands trying to barder with merchants. Being in the large crowd is confusing for Salathe, he had never seen so many people, and at such an early time, he couldnt find his way, he was confused at much that was happening in his mind, and even wondering why a drow would choose the trade of market.

As he was looking around he catches a quick glimpse of the emblem of his hometown. Knowing that the emblem of his hometown lays on his necklace, he looks around, not knowing the exact direction where he saw it at, since he had only seen it for just a split second. He sees it again, but still cannot pinpoint where it is exactly, but he heads in the direction he saw it. With all the confusion in his head being caused by the large mass of people around he has quite a hard time concentrating. But after walking in the direction he saw the emblem he reaches a stall with 3 elves standing in it, and behind he sees many many items laid out on a table, and some hanging from above, and some scattered around behind them, these merchants although being drow, are quite succesful at collecting items. One of the items in the back of the stand was his necklace. When he sees it there he approaches the stall.

"Lizard, would you be interested in buying some fine lizard crafted armor? It is one of the few things your kind wear."

Asks the drow as he sees Salathe

"And that halberd you carry... you wouldnt be interested in selling that, would you?."

Salathe looks at the drow and says

"Not can sell... or not does want buy lizard armor. But do wants buy necklace... that necklace, in back"

Salathe not saying that the necklace is his, because the drow would sell for more knowing that Salathe would want it more than any regular customer that just sees it.

"Ah, fine choice. This was brought in not too long ago, it is to be a fine lizard craft, fine indeed... This could be yours for... Oh lets say about a dozen gold ignots and maybe 7 silver ignots."

The drow goes back and takes the necklace tot eh front of the stall

Salathe looks into his bag, only had bringing 10 silver, not thinking that his necklace would be worth so much, since it is worthless to anyone but himself

"Is too much money! How can sell for so much? Is only a neckless."

Being so close to the necklace, he can feel the emotion of wanting it, and when not getting it, can feel anger.

"Yes but none of us have seen anything like it before, for all we know this could be an ancient artifact of lizards."

"Not is artifact, is mine! Had lost and friend sells it. But he no did know was I necklace. Can sell less? Not is use for elf."

The drow grins at this

"Oh? Some friend that would pawn ones own necklace. Well, selling for less wont make us any profit, and we do not care about you not getting it."

Salathe slams his fist on the table

"But is mine! No peoples will buy worthless necklace!"

The drow laughs at Salathe

"Hahaha. We arent going to tell anyone its useless, we are going to wait until someone comes thats interested in it, we will say that its an artifact, and make a profit. And profits are what we need, and you are not one, so leave."

Salathe bringing up his halbred, grasps it with both hands

The drows all begin to laugh even more at Salathe, now drawing a crowd as to figure out why these elves are laughing at the lizard

"Hahahaha. You wish to fight us? Here? now? Hahahaha. You are most certainly an unintelligent creature, If you were to attack us here, what would be the point? To get your necklace? At what cost. You wouldnt be able to get away, look at all the witnesses that surround you, and gaurds are everywhere! Now leave our sight you pathetic lizard."

Salathe lifts his grasp, and looks around at the crowd, and just walks away since there is nothing else to do.

He reaches a nearby tavern and sits at the window... waiting for the drows to leave, as when he will follow them and take back his necklace, no matter how hard it seems

Now night was beginning to fall, the crowd had gotten smaller from the afternoon crowd,

but was still bigger than the morning crowd. Salathe had noticed many men coming from a

days work trying to make a pocketful of money for what they did that day. Salathe still

keeping an eye on the drow stall, sees another drow come to the other 3. He whispers

something in their ears and the begin to pack everything up, including the necklace.

Salathe stands up as he sees each drow pulling a wagon full of barrels.

Staying in the shadows he follows them down the streets. Soon they had left town and

headed into the forest. Salathe waits until they have a good distance from himself, then he

begins to follow them again, staying hidden under the darkness of the trees. They walked

a long ways, and it was much trouble keeping up since Salathes eyes had gone blurry ever

since he had fallen off the boat, and elven eyesight is so much better than lizard eyesight.

Atlast the drows stopped and let go of there wagons, and said something, but Salathe

couldnt understand it. Then from out of nowhere several more drows appeared adn started

to unload the barrels and seemed to be walking some down somewhere. When all the

barrels were unloaded the 3 drows brought the wagons a ways from there current location

and hid them and came back and somewhere out of sight. Salathe stayed where he was,

hiding behind a bush waiting to see if there were any more drows about. Not seeing any

he approached with caution. He came to where he last saw them and looked around at the

ground. Hoping he could find an entrance to underground hideout or anything as to wear

they went. While walking around he steps on something, a switch he thought. And as it

turns out, a trapdoor opens up with steps leading down underground with torches on the

side of the wall.

As Salathe walks down he starts to notice that everything is soon made of rock and not of

wood. When he reaches the bottom he peeks around the corner to see he is now in a

cave. Now confused that a cave would be laying under a forest he grabs a torch and runs

back up and looks around for any sign of rocks. As he is looking he sees none then turns

around to see a large cliff hanging over top of him. Salathe had not known that there was

a cliff anywhere near the town, and he started to think how far away from town he was.

Either way it doesnt matter, his necklace is in the cave. So he heads back down and peeks

around the corner to see an ungaurded corridor, and thus, he begins his search of the

drow cave.

Salathe awakes to the voice of some drows in the room he is in. He rubs his eyes trying to

get fully awake and rubs his back, since it was not a smooth surface. He brings his head to

the edge and looks down at the two drows

"Wheres the merchandise from yesterday? We got some good new metals i would like to

work with."

The second drow points down a tunnel

"That way, a little ways past the jail, you should see all the boxes and barrels stacked up."

"Ah, and didnt they put in a new workshop?"

"Yes. Its right next to where we put the merchandise we get, but it will be inspected to see

if we got it this time."

"Its taking to long to find..."

"Be patient, we will find it in do time."

Salathe hearing that all the items he saw yesterday at the stall arent to far away gets

excited, almost going now but he waits a little bit until the coast is completly clear. While he

waits he starts to think what the "it" they were talking about was... maybe there was more

than them just being merchants. Salathe leaves his halberd in the grove, it would be to

much of an encumberment to sneak around with. Salathe climbs out onto a small thin ledge

and walks against the cavern wall to above the wooden hallway which he entered in. He

climbs down face first, and peeks down the hallway to see no one there, then he look

down the tunnel on the opposite side, to also see no one that way, he flips down and

check the last tunnel in the room, to see no one there... again.

Quickly after leaving the cavern to the wooden hallway he gets behind some more barrels

and sneaks from piles to piles. Once reaching the room where he left the rat in he looks in

the rat almost dead under the mousetrap. Salathe grins as he runs to it and opens the

trap and takes the rat and eats it. Salathe being filled, but not to his satisfaction, but it

gave him enough to not be bother by his hunger for much longer. Walking out of the room

he looks down both ways, and sees the dining hall again. But this time, no voices or

laughter. Still a bit hungry, and quite thirsty, he heads down to the dining hall.

He walks up the large entrance and looks in, seeing no one he proceeds a bit further in for

a better look at it. Seeing no one at all in the dining hall he runs in and goes to the double

doors and peeks in. Immediately he recognizes the room as a regular kitchen. Salathe grins

and walks in and begins to rummage through the shelfs and bags of food looking for

something of his taste. He finds some loaves of bread and starts to eat it. Then he goes to

a large keg of water and drinks the water straight from the barrel. Salathe starts to pick up

some food and puts it in his bag.

As he begins to leave he hears a number of drows entering the room and the he jumps

back against the wall and looks out through the small windows on the double doors and

listens to them talk

"This work is tireing."

"Im sure chef wont mind if we go grab something to eat"

The drows head to the kitchen, and Salathe panics looking around for a place to hide. The

door swings open and the drows come in and to there surprise...
