then if somebody was sitting on 200000000000 body rest it would be worth losing those 5 def levels

With so many pots its going to get difficult, and its not really realistic.

then how about a option to turn pk on/off, only ppl with pk on could attack other ppl with pk on, and you could only change like once a day or week.

But in that case, what's the difference from having PK maps where people who want to PK can just go to, and meet OTHER people who want to PK? It's the same principle then. People who want to fight go to PK map / switch on PK. People who don't want to fight stay off PK maps / switch off PK.

Because thats not as fun....Ok lets make a example scenario!

A few guild members are sitting in a tavern celebrating a job well done of murdering some guy...when suddenly 2 strong fighters come in seeking vengeance for there murdered comrade. One guy gets up to run but its to late hes been slaughtered! Two others attack the one fighter to then be surprised from behind by another fighter who was hiding upstairs! The last surviving member beams to try escaping but oh poor him 5 weaker members looking to make some justive are waiting at beam and he is brutally slaughtered. (ok maybe IP shouldnt be pk even with that on/off thing)

That story was slightly over exaggerated, but heh see how much fun it would be to fight in towns and buildings!

Yes, it would be fun.

The on/off thing does sound alright. Plus, you could fight on maps where there aren't ogres and such, so it would be good for weaker players to gain exp.

But who knows if it would work?

I agree that it would probably be more fun, Slay, and it would definitely add a lot more interest to the role-playing elements of the game, but what if the group in your scenario happen to turn their switches off? Then the revenge could NEVER take place, irregardless of whether they're in a tavern or not. Or, if you see an enemy coming, you could quickly turn your switch off, and become invulnerable to harm.

However, working with your idea...if all you want is being able to fight in and around buildings, then why not just create a fully-populated PK map with buildings whose interiors are also PK maps? That way, you still get to fight in taverns, just in special PK taverns and towns.

Or, going a step further...if some sort of PK zoning code could be introduced into the game (I'm not sure of the programming involved, so this may be impossible...) that allowed the developers/mods to switch on/off PKing in certain areas on the map by some sort of in-game command, you could have the same effect.

For example, let's say someone wants to stage an invasion of White Stone. Ent, Roja or Moon could switch on PKing for the duration of the event, and post a message to all, warning them. Then, after the event, switch it off again. How about that?

Well that would still make things more interesting if we did it those ways to. But if they just turned it off they wouldnt be able to turn it back on for a a day or 2..so no more pk'ing for them for a while.

This really sounds as a nice idea!

Best thing about it is that PK'ers and non-PK'ers get mixed, and still the non-PK'ers don't have to worry of getting killed.

I would say, make it one ingame week (42 ingame hours) to be able to switch again. And no safe haven anywhere, so you can't just sit your time out somewhere after you backstabbed someone...

Only draw-back I can think of atm - this could get as annoying as summoning if it's done in the more crowded areas...

You could make ingame rules for pking, i mean you can't pk in populated places like storages, mines etc. and the chance to loose something on populated places would be really slim if none. But make some 120/120 60/60 guards that controls the pking in most places and if some1 pk's the guards would pk him.
