the_grud Report post Posted April 6, 2020 I get lots of enquiries on my bot for *Wanted* but I dont know who is enquiring and what they want to sell. Would be nice if my bot could give me this info..
revi Report post Posted April 6, 2020 That is the kind of thing to discuss with whoever is hosting your bot or wrote the code. The average EL player or mod can't even start giving any hints there... Although..; what they want to sell... to give you that information... I guess your bot will have to become a mind reader

revi Report post Posted April 6, 2020 Just now, Wizzy said: Rraisa is a not that querys trade bots for INV and WANTED and compiles lists.. I thin Greypal Services uses this info for search Wiz No, greypal uses a CVS file provided by the bot owner/hoster; I think el-services provides it for all bots they host automatically, I know it's opt-in for privately-hosted bots. Would be nice if my bot could give me this info.. You should have messages like this: [07:46:04] [PM from Gemini: PM received from Rraisa: #wanted] [08:08:20] [PM from Gemini: PM received from Wizzy: #want] The first example is from Rraisa, another bot, who is just getting the information to put on a database of all bots who signed up to have their information gathered. The second example is from a random player. Notice that it also includes the player name of who is inquiring. If the player does not specify an item, the bot can't possibly know what that player wants to sell. Bots are not mind readers. The only way the bot will know what the player wants to sell is if the player includes the item in his inquiry like this: [08:08:47] [PM from Gemini: PM received from Wizzy: #want beaver] Then you know who is asking and what they want. But unless the player him/herself offers the specific item info, there is no way you can know.
