Afaik, the server is working as it should.

But, there's a fair number of routers before you reach the game server,

and if those develop problems, you'll lag...

Fwiw, a traceroute of today:

1 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 0.770 ms 0.678 ms 0.743 ms #my computer

2 * * *

3 10.125.49.74 (10.125.49.74) 431.880 ms 432.809 ms 432.143 ms

4 * * *

5 * * *

6 81.253.184.114 (81.253.184.114) 449.779 ms 451.549 ms 451.170 ms

7 tengige0-13-0-8.auvtr1.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.132.77) 454.194 ms 453.629 ms 448.833 ms

8 tengige0-15-0-7.auvtr4.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.132.162) 419.812 ms 439.038 ms 438.389 ms

9 * * *

10 * * *

11 game.eternal-lands.com (213.152.3.5) 434.434 ms 433.775 ms 433.126 ms #game server

("#" and what's following added by me)

As you can see, lag is not starting at the game server (line n° 11) but much earlier in the chain.

lag lately is really extreme, lost a few rosto's by it also.

Asking for a refund of those ist really fair imho but rather have radu to look into it and see if its possible to fix it.

even at this moment of writing the game is laggy and ive crashed multiple times!

Well, a few notes on the traceroute I posted above:

the IP 10.125.xxx.xxx is a 'private' IP address, i.e; an address which normally isn't visible on the internet, but only within privately owned networks

81.253.184.114 & 193.251.132.xxx are owned by France Telecom,

213.152.3.5 is owned by a hosting company, that has nothing to do with France Telecom (afaik).

And for me, the lag started at or before France Telecom (431.880 ms 432.809 ms 432.143 ms)

Someone says this is an attack - is it on Radu personally? ruin his game (and everyone else's as a by product?)

If i can't play EL my real life is in ruins too! :D

MM looks like a DOS attack. Got thrown off but reconnected and all OK at the moment.

51ms latency seems within normal range for me

Update: I talked to my host, we implemented some server based changes to mitigate some of the attacks. If those changes won't work, we will be looking at some hardware based DoS protection services.

Another update: I think I have a good idea about who is behind this, but I won't give more info until I am sure and do some other things. Meanwhile, we filtered some of the traffic and we'll see what happens.

Two more spams today, pointed them out to Aislinn.

Maybe you need some code to prove person entering post is a human.

Give them item on Sales page and ask them to enter price.

Yes, we were hit with about 100mbps. I think it is a DDoS this time, using a small bot net. We identified the type of attack and we are taking measures.
