I was removed from an invance after not using a plate while tanking with iglow(40 damage a turn) and mirror perk(a good amount of added damage)... The reason I was given was I was not in good enough armor... I stopped invancing after that(100-120)

I don't see how there can be the same gear requirement for all players. Yesterday, a certain player wore a full fur set in 120-200 and I know for certain he killed a ton of stuff which definitely helped win the invance.

And what was even better, he made it so lower players like me could follow him around and attack everything he attacked because he was automatic tank with lower armor. I was able to attack anything he did with no fear. In my opinion, this should be allowed and encouraged for better teamwork at every invance.

+1

That is why I will change my vote on required gear. I would love to see any of top50 rangers in leahter arrmor with shortbow and PKs (shooting ofc) than not to have them at all.

I voted No to hanging about, but i think you should allow people to go AFK for a maximum of 5 Minutes, for a legitimate reason, and after warning their team.

I also voted no equip restrictions. i think 6080 should come under 4060 rules, as i know that very few of wannabe 6080ers have the kit, and to tell the truth, these restriction are killing the lower ranges. We have small teams at the best of times, and people who you would want on invances cant afford the equipment. People working on specialised builds are also heavily penalised with the existing ruleset.

Just one thought;

In the 4060 we had some people with steel/iron plate set. And we also had guy in augs. The guy in augs was far more fun to have, and contributed far more to the overall invance than the heavily armoured guy.

I just read SunriseCoders Post about why lower levels don't invance anymore;

Its not because people aren't willing, its because they don't have the confidence, their a mixing/harv character, rostogols cost too much and we're bombarded with scammers alts.

We don't have any newbies anymore, to take part, and we dont have rostogols to burn, so take a back seat.

Just my own opinion.

I don't understand what's so bad about having people in worse armor though, as long as they are helping. It's not like the xp is divided among team members? (Didn't seem that way) More the merrier? Unless it's an instance, where the reward IS shared...

Solarstar mentioned training arrows in an instance and she also mentioned engineering items. That gave me the idea of using training arrows to lure mobs over poison caltrops. I personally think that anyone using that combo could most definitely help an invance. Not that poison caltrop damage stacks and can reach 24 damage per poison tick on a red dragon for someone as low in engineering as I am.

I know some people carry like 40 Training arrows along with their PKAs to invance to help lure mobs and make them dis, thought it is not done by many.

Currently, I'm enjoying tanking bosses in a two-man scouting team, the other person being equipped in augs and a short bow. This I have found to be very, very good for killing lots of stuff really quickly

I used to spend about the first 2 thirds of invance naked on the wall and, trust me, the others could see the damage I did to mobs. Only works with small teams, tho.

Personally I think you helped a lot and were entitled to the xp. In practice moderators will respond to reports (preferably an #abuse during the invance) that someone is "not helping". In this case I doubt anyone on the team would do such an abuse, so no problem.

So what if someone did do an #abuse? how would the responding moderator figure out if i did help out enough? :P
