saxum Report post Posted July 25, 2012 Often I see in channels guild commands, mostly by accident but I suspect some purposely. It is easy to hit @ accidentally if touch typist since on US keyboards (only one I am aware of) has @ and # next to each other. Allow alternate of '*' for guild commands and a lot of these typos would not be put in public channels with resulting reply messages (i.e. wrong channel) unnecessary. Perhaps after a few releases guild commands using # could be replaced with help message "Use *gm to send guild messages", etc
Kart Report post Posted July 26, 2012 I'd suggest a default channel to send text that the user can choose. For instance all text would be sent to GM (if you selected this as your default) unless the @ symbol was first used. Using just the @ before text would send to local. At least something along this line.
Ghrae Report post Posted July 26, 2012 There is a default channel when no prefix is used: local chat You can already set a default when using the prefix "@", it just can't be to GM (but it can be to your guild chat channel)
SenZon Report post Posted July 27, 2012 Maybe Just use * instead of #GM example; *Hello Guild instead of #GM Hello Guild or *GM Hello Guild
