EL crashes on login

Recommended Posts

Guest ShaolinKnight

ok i have been playing eternal lands for about 2 1/2 years.its been about 6 months since i last logged in.the version i had was out of date so i downloaded the new version which is 1.9.3.everything seemed to work fine.i put in my char name and password and click login and windows gives me the error report.i seen that this could possibly be that my drivers are outdated.which im pretty sure they are.also i went into settings and chose the poor man option and that didn't help.any advice would be highly appreciated.thx 2 all

If you think your drivers are too old, I'd suggest you go to your manufacturers website and download new drivers. If that doesn't work, it would really help if you specify what videocard/computer/os you have.

ok.i'm running windows xp.my pc is HP pavilion a305w.my graphics is an intel extreme graphics controller.its built in to the motherboard.i had trouble with hp's driver last time i messed with them (couldn't get my sound to work).EL has always worked great for me till this latest update.i haven't updated my drivers in bout a year so i hope that works.

What is the error that windows is reporting?

Do you have anything in your error log file?

You need to update the drivers from intel, not HP, but even then, with a build in card you might run into troubles.

Look here for a driver update. To get more info on your graphics card, you can also try to run dxdiag from a command prompt and look how old your driver really is.

Good luck.
