Armor

Recommended Posts

Hi, im wondering which armors should I use. Bronze for nice stats (dotn care its heavy)? Titanium for durability? Dragons for w/e reason? Or even steel (as many ppl use it :o )?

I am also interested which armors are the most durable and which are the least durable. Thoughts on the stats interests me, too.

Thanks :)

p.s. Please grind your choice.

p.s.s. I currently have bronze as it is cheaper than tit (which was my second choice) and has the best armor (also heards its quite durable, is that true?)

Depends what ur fighting when wearing the armours, for invasions/instances i'd say some sort of dragon set, for training tit plate, steel cuisses/greaves are best iirc, Don't really see people using bronze set that often, but i believe it is more durable then steel/tit sets, Hope i helped :)

It goes something like this;

A few years ago the best "training" armor used to be Titanium plate and shield, steel cuisses and greaves, moon med because it offered the highest amount of armor possible.

Accuracy: 4

Armor: 26-31

Defense: 8

Light Modifier: 31

Magic Resistance: 0

Cold Protection: -2

Heat Protection: -2

Radiation Protection: 8

Magic Protection: 4

Now only Titanium set (Shield, plate, cuisses and greaves moon med)

Accuracy: 4

Armor: 26-28

Defense: 8

Light Modifier: 31

Cold Protection: 2

Heat Protection: 2

Radiation Protection: 6

Magic Protection: 6

Bronze set (Shield, plate, cuisses and greaves, moon med)

Accuracy: 1

Critical to Hit: -2

Armor: 31-34

Defense: 8

Light Modifier: 26

Magic Resistance: 11

Cold Protection: -2

Heat Protection: -2

Radiation Protection: 9

Magic Protection: 7

Steel set (Shield, plate, cuisses and greaves, moon med)

Critical to Hit: -4

Armor: 27-33

Defense: 6

Light Modifier: 32

Cold Protection: -2

Heat Protection: -2

Radiation Protection: 9

Magic Protection: 4

Red Dragon set ( RD Cuisses, greaves, plate, moon med and ti shield)

Accuracy: 4

Armor: 32

Defense: 8

Light Modifier: 28

Heat Protection: 9

Radiation Protection: 1

Magic Protection: 9

Those are the #Arms for ea set . . You will need to see where you will train as well, some places need cold/heat protection etc . . As for durability they are all fine, from experience/luck I'd say the most to least durable would be in this order . . Red Dragon > Titanium > Bronze > Steel.

If you have NMT perk/cloak with decent toughness and train monsters at your levels you shouldn't break anything.

#Edit - Any value I didn't include to the #arm equals 0

Thanks for the reply. Ti shield is obviously the best (no negatives).

Im kinda interested why did you provided stats with moon med everywhere? I always considered and was told that i should use Unicorn, as it gives a massive 4 def bonus. So unless monsters dont hit me without crits i use it.

I am interested in the thoughts in the stats, not in the STATS themselves, as i can look that up myself. ex. why do you neglect 1 def of aug pants and go for armor, why ppl pick heavy steel sets with less armor and negative def over titanium and such. I feel like i can get an 'image' of which is good or worse if I get many thoughts.

thanks :)

Also.. Whch one should I use and why!!

I was under the impression that Bronze stuff is very fragile. Is this not the case?

Swords are, but as far as people say, armors arent that fragile. Only downside is the weight.
