NzWitch Report post Posted September 28, 2011 I have recently (july) been given a mobile broadband t-stick to update up desktop pc as i normally run on dial-up, however when I try to log in to Eternal-Lands, via the stick, i am unable to do so. [12:23:49] Press Alt-x to close the game I have turned off firewall, adware programs, anti virus programs, and opened port 2000, and get the same result. [12:59:54] Press Alt-x to close the game [12:59:57] Local files saved, asking server to save too... i will give the mobile operator a call and post the result here. what is confussing is that i can surf the web and update all other file, but as soon and i try to do anything with eternal-lands ..... nothing. korrode Report post Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Devnul is almost certainly correct. (Especially considering it's mobile broadband in NZ or Australia, it's common.) When I asked Telstra to unblock outgoing connections to port 2000 on a pre-paid wireless account they actually told me they can't do it... the ridiculous nubs. As Devnul said; Call your ISP and ask them to unblock outgoing connections to TCP port 2000. Good luck. edit: You're sure you didn't get the 'Telecom Security Suite' and have it blocked in there? Grum Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Port 2000 being blocked by the ISP is not that uncommon, I had the same problem on my mobile broadband connection. The thing that surprises me, though, is that you're able to connect to the main server (you get the welcome message, though it takes an awfully long time), but the connection is closed immediately afterwards. Also, I've personally never seen port 2001 (the test server) blocked, and you're not able to connect to that either. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
