Olorandir Report post Posted April 19, 2011 Sorry to hear that you got scammed for what is a fairly large amount of gc, Kabat, that must be very frustrating indeed. However... I know that some people are naturally trusting, or very young, and more easily duped by one or other of the scumbags that litter EL, but it never ceases to amaze me that people will actually hand over hard-earned (or not ) gc to someone they do not know, and are not sure they can trust, simply because that someone told them they would do something in return. Don't dish out that kind of money until the stone is there in the trading window! It would be interesting to know who it was that told you that you could do a deal with RansoM. If you'd asked around a bit before giving him the gc, you may have found that quite a few people knew him to be the piece of s*it he obviously is. I sympathize with your plight, I really do, but hopefully this will be a valuable lesson for you, and in future you will be a lot more cautious regarding who you have dealings with in the game. Afaik there was only a post about overkill, ransom's ex-char. Hard to know he's the same guy even if you read disputes first. But yeah I agree, it would be smart to ask around if the person is trustworthy. And not give the gc before you actually get the item you needed.
