Gohan Report post Posted April 10, 2011 I just downloaded the one from the download page, haven't been around in forever, did a new update get posted within forums? -Gohan
korrode Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Uninstall EL Delete the C:\Program Files\Eternal Lands\ folder if it remains. (If you use 64bit Windows it'd be C:\Program Files (x86)\Eternal Lands\ ) Install EL again.
Gohan Report post Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Perhaps you didn't see my first post? Reinstalling was the first thing I did. I'll give it another go but I doubt it'll make a difference? -Gohan Edit: Same results. Edited April 11, 2011 by Gohan
Wizzy Report post Posted April 11, 2011 And did we delete all the files before re-installing?
Gohan Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Yes..... All files and EL-related stuff should have been gone, unless it has saved files somewhere on my pc that I don't even know about. -Gohan
Alberich Report post Posted April 11, 2011 IF you uninstalled and reinstalled EL successfully you should have the new client data. Only way I can think of that your client uses old data is, that you changed your data directory for what ever silly reasons. Find the el.ini in your ..\Users\xxx\Documents\Ethernal Lands\main\ directory and delete or edit it and remove the line #data_dir= ... btw you should get an entirely different welcome picture, so it's certain you have some old data remaining somewhere. Gohan Report post Posted April 11, 2011 I'll take a look at it altho I had already removed the Eternal Lands main folders and stuff too... I can't think where else I could have any files saved. -Gohan
Gohan Report post Posted April 11, 2011 Got it to work, there is still something I don't really get about my pc, but it's cool, I found some folder with EL files that got stored somewhere. Deleted those and then the right files jumped in. Thanks for the help anywayz. -Gohan
