PC crashed mid-game, now that character can't log in

Recommended Posts

I was on my main, Schizo, when my PC suddenly crashed, when I rebooted and tried to log in, the game crashed immediately after loading everything. My other characters can all log in fine though. I've rebooted several times, tried loading with the lowest graphics settings, and nothing. Crash every time.

Considering it's character specific it's possible either your counters, quests, recipes or quickspell dat file is corrupt.

In My Documents\Eternal Lands\main you will find counters_schizo.dat, quest_schizo.dat recipes_schizo.dat and spells_schizo.dat

Move all of those files to a different folder and then see if you can log in, if you can, then log out and move the files back in place one at a time and try to log in between each file you move so you can determine which is corrupt.

I fixed it, and I'm guessing you were right. I tried re-installing the game and it didn't work so I deleted the EL folder in my documents and it's ok now. Probably should of tried that in the first place :omg:

But thanks for the quick reply.

Just throwing in a little comment here. Not sure if you have the correct EL version running, we shortly upgraded to 1.9.1,

while your crash log still shows 1.9.0.

Edit: But then again it's possible that the version number wasn't upgraded internally. The most important thing is, EL runs again :)
