Devnul, Saxum, Charolles, Legit and I were on a 80-100 tonight, 29 Jan 2011 circa 1700hrs GMT. Legit was supposed to be the tank, and said he'd take off plate to let fighters attack. However, he didn't, which resulted in Saxum dying twice, the second time he had no rostogols and dropped a bag. Legit jumped this, and later posted a fake, edited screenie to skirt the blame. In two of them Devnul's foot and scythe are visible detatched from his body, while 4 more have the exact same rock at the exact same place in the background. Quick look, three indications of modifications:

1- Devnul has gotten 2 right feet, one of which appears detached from his body

2- part of two of the vertical lines are shifted to the left (at least 2 pixels...)

3- legit has become invisible (he should still have been visible behind the inv, just like Devnul)

I definitely was not expecting to be the tank. I came as mule first and was to join fight afterwards but Yetis turned to me. First time I thought it was strange but then had server resync and died. Second time same thing happened when I got resync, died very fast and lost bag.

 

 

These are not originals but composite to show what was dropped / returned.

Evaluate it how you will but if someone comes to tank and doesn't do it, quit instance.

 

Well at least I killed a Yeti legitimately without ring of damage even if it cost me brick (which I bought for instance) and a lot of health essences which I can make again.

Legit organized team, I was in as backup fighter and mule (real and carrying supplies since I had large EMU).

Legit was going to be tank taking off dragon armor torso so he would be engaged by creature. First time fight was already started and yetis switched to me as soon as I joined. I fought a bit and disengaged, healed and rejoined. In later fight it happened again, I had resync issues, died and lost only brick but I thought it was not deliberate, accident due to resync issue. Later fight same thing happened and I disengaged, engaged several times restoring but I had resync issue and died w/o brick. I asked if team got DB (everybody was around me) and everyone denied it posting screen shots. Legit's was crap and instance was canceled. Via a lot of pressure major items were returned, some substitutes and some clown clothes and some random drop books. I never got brick lost from semi-tank not tanking.

Sorry for posting so late. Just to summarize, after all Legit gave back stolen loot which is nice of him, BUT!

1. He did this because he was caught, if he would succeed with the fake screen then I doubt he would give it back.

2. He planned this from the beginning by taking the role of tank (he promised to take off pl8 or use poison, but didnt).

 

I personally will not go with him on another instance. I simply do not trust him. Getting back my (and probably other players too) trust will take some time, but it is possible (at least in matter of joining him on instance). However it wont be quick and easy.

We agree this was not right to do and I wouldnt blame ppl for not trusting him. In no way are we saying what he did was ok. He is new to our guild and knows our rules and so far we haven't have any problems. Indeed if it was a fake tank, it cost you and your team but what did you drop that was not returned? It was my understanding everything that was "dropped" was returned.

 

As for the gc to enter, the wait times, not finishing the instance etc i have to not agreee with. I have been on instances where this has happened to me. The tank didnt remove the armor quick enough, the mob turned to me and killed me . I also lost a brick and it happened again and i also didnt have another rosto and therefor didnt finish. Doesnt mean i was owed anything.

 

You stated the team decided to quit the instance. Legit hasnt done many instances and yes he could have been horrible at it. Or he could have done it on purpose. You just dont really know.

 

So what is the issue? That you died and feel you are owed or he didnt return all the items? I am confused.

It's not like the instance was being hard for him or that he made a genuine mistake.

 

I'm not saying it's feasible to calculate time/items lost and try to make him repay it, but yeah, people are going to feel they haven't been repaid in full for what they've lost and probably hold some (imo warranted) resentment due to that.
