Update problems

Recommended Posts

Don't want to come across as a ditz, but new update isn't working for me. Everything seems to load ok and when I log on it hangs on, "connecting to server". Yet when I go back to version before...everything works great. I'm running xp pro. I turned off customs. Below is error report:

These lines look unusual to me. Perhaps you missed something or renamed/put a file/directory wrong.

Just my 2 cents

Are you running any firewall software?

Would that effect the patch update and not the original 1.9 version, cause I have absolutely no problem loading with the original version.

Yes it would effect the firewall, since the size/version of the el.exe has changed and the firewall notices that.

I got a warning from my firewall and was asked if I want to allow el.exe to connect to internet, since it had changed.

I just followed the directions to the update. I've also uninstalled the original and reinstalled it and updated it again and got the same freeze up. I don't know...I was hoping its something simple.

Ok...I'll give that a try...thanks.

Edit:

That was it Korrode & Raistlin...thanks for your help. It was my firewall. :)
