cardome Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Don't want to come across as a ditz, but new update isn't working for me. Everything seems to load ok and when I log on it hangs on, "connecting to server". Yet when I go back to version before...everything works great. I'm running xp pro. I turned off customs. Raistlin Report post Posted December 17, 2010 [22:21:35] Error: Server profile not found in servers.lst for server: new\el.exe". Failover to server: main. [22:21:35] Using the server profile: main These lines look unusual to me. Perhaps you missed something or renamed/put a file/directory wrong. Just my 2 cents
cardome Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Are you running any firewall software? Would that effect the patch update and not the original 1.9 version, cause I have absolutely no problem loading with the original version.
Raistlin Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Are you running any firewall software? Would that effect the patch update and not the original 1.9 version, cause I have absolutely no problem loading with the original version. Yes it would effect the firewall, since the size/version of the el.exe has changed and the firewall notices that. I got a warning from my firewall and was asked if I want to allow el.exe to connect to internet, since it had changed.

Just my 2 cents I just followed the directions to the update. I've also uninstalled the original and reinstalled it and updated it again and got the same freeze up. I don't know...I was hoping its something simple. Are you running any firewall software? Edit: That was it Korrode & Raistlin...thanks for your help. It was my firewall. Edited December 17, 2010 by cardome
