gilhad123 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 I took prinscreen from Ctrl+P ingame command and the resulting PNG looks bad (had blocks of bad/switched lines over it. looks like every other line in block is switched with horizontally adjanced line in the next block). I tried to take screenshot with Gimp and got normal picture. The screen looks normal ingame too, just the saved image is bad. I run on Linux, Gentoo and got my copy from the emerge (packaging system), my videocard is integrated Intel. Some time ago the screenshot worked fine, but i do not took it too often, so only three taken this year (all i get) are bad. Previous pictures (from Jul 2009, probabelly previous version of EL) are OK. What other info should i include?
DibClark Report post Posted September 23, 2010 Intel graphics are a known buggy SOBs. unless you can find a better driver, or add more system ram, that is what you'll get imho, this is not a game bug, but a graphics system defect. try this: go to youtube play anything over there try to go full screen if the screen appears like what your printscreen displays, or if the screen just gives you raster (multicolored scratches or "noise") then your graphics system is at fault. if i read your screenie right, your game FPS is only 11 to 20? if it's lower than 60, then try this: use isometric mode - not as pretty as the full quasi-3d experience but manageable (more FPs for you) turn off shadows, reflection, and sky, moon, sun, etc... take a printscreen if the printscreen turns out okay, then your opengl version is outdated if still distorted, then it's definitely your graphics system. change your graphics card to an NVidia. nuff sed. good luck! additional note: previous versions of EL in my experience worked well with intel cards, but i'm not sure what radu changed on this version, my intel system can only run 45 FPS max even at full zoom on the character, so i dumped it
