Cant do quest

I got this message in red on the screen when I tried to do a daily:

 

Can't write to file (null)/Library/Application Support/Eternal Lands/main/quest_smeegle.log

 

I have also been having to redownload the game because the game crashes after a couple log on/off sessions.

 

Someone who can help please send me a forum PM and I will get the logs to you.

That (null) is a bit odd. When the game first loads, there is a listing of all the various graphics extensions available. Right before the pink "Connecting to Server..." message is a line about where the personal settings are saved. What does that say for you?
