Greetings, Eleusis That looks like you do not have a 3d enabled graphics card driver. Run the glxinfo command in a terminal and have a look at the output. One of the first few lines should say "direct rendering: Yes". If it does not then you need to install some 3d capable drivers. Unfortunately this will often mean you have to use closed source drivers. If you need further help you will have to tell us your system details.
