Crashes upon opening

Hi I have a macbook pro 13inch running on OSX 10.5.8, and upon logging into my account, the world is shown to me for 1 second and then the application crashes.

 

Why is this happening?

Hi.

I run game off a mac ok, but with some graphic options turned off.

Check the mac development thread in forums for help and try putting the options (available before you log in) to 'poor man' and turn of things like reflections.

My macbook pro keeps crashing too can anyone help? Some system info:-

 

Mac OS X

Version 10.6.2

 

Processor : 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

 

Some graphics info:-

 

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Resolution: 1280 x 800

Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color

 

I've changed some of the settings as people have suggested etc. but still no luck. Any advice would be appreciated thanks :o

Hutchy,

That is very vague. Does the crash occur in certain locations? Times of the game day? Can you even log in?

 

Please post the top 50 lines of the crash log.

It crashes upon logging in every time, i'll post some of the log. About an hour ago it would allow me to walk around for about a minute now it just crashes each time I log in again. Hope this is some help :-

Does the error/crash occur when poorman is turned on in the options?

Okay guys. I have a current build available here. Let me know if it is running any better. This is just a current CVS build.

 

BTW, I see some recent code that suggests this problem might be broader than just Macs, FWIW.

I have a macbook pro with 10.6.2 os, and I kept getting logged out when I signed in.... I found all you need to do is open the game and before you sign in go to 'settings'..... then click on 'Adv Video' tab..... then the very bottom option says 'Use Animation Program' unclick that and it should work... Dont mess around with the el.ini file and the 'use_animated_program= ?' because it makes no difference, seeing as I switched back and forth with 0 and 1 value and both seem to work as long as I unboxed 'Use Animation Program' in the settings
