From a political bystander's perspective, I believe Obama will perform considerably better in the Office than Bush has. I've been vaguely keeping tabs on his views on the American economy and from what I've seen from his speeches it seems he's adamant the ensuing decline is tolerable.

about the FEMA camps , can you remember the run ups to the election where in one state the police created huge indoor cells for political dissidents , sorry , protestors ? I remember reading about them ( sure you cant believe everything you read but these things were there and used ) so yeh, I can believe the FEMA camps could indeed be used to forcibly detain american citizens, its allready happened in the run up to the elections.

How was Isreal created ? Brief history again : search for information about something called The Balfour Declaration. It was a letter which promised that England would give parts of Palestine to some Zionist ( not Jewish , very different ) people after the end of WW1 providing that Lord Rothschild used his influence to gain favors for England. Palestine wasn't even Englands to give away ffs, and if you dare to find out exactly how Israel began to expand inside Palestine its a pretty shocking story.

 

So no, I dont think its a good idea to be bombing Pakistan or Afghanistan simply because The Cell might be there , its civilians that end up dying in these bombing raids time and time again. In fact its strange that anyone believes war solves anything. How many more ''terrorists'' is this War on Terror creating ? How many more young men are willing to fight against the western values when they see thier family, thier home land blown to pieces?

 

Example: Hypothetically, the USA is not the worlds super power , it is Britain , and Britain is putting ever more restrictive laws on the people , brutally surpressing dissent, killing the civilian population over and over again. What would the people of the USA do ? Oh thats right, its not hypothetical its called the American War of Independance , in which the American people were the ''insurgents'' fighting to free thier own country from the grasp of a foreign power.

 

Someone once said something along the lines of '' those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it '' but its much easier to blindly listen to the propoganda and be a good patriot , willing to see ordinary people like you and me die in the name of bringing peace to a country that we shoudn't be trying to control in the first place

Yes, its pain compliance, but I guarantee it decreases the amount of times lethal force is needed. Also, police brutality has been an issue since long before the invention of the taser, its hardley a "taser-based" issue.

I'm quite aware that the US helped the mujahideen during the Soviet control of Afghanistan. In fact, I brought it up a few days ago in channel 6.
