Hermit Report post Posted December 21, 2008 Got a few pictures of some deer today. They eat the stuff that falls out of the bird feeder. Kind of fun to watch them when no one is there, they don't really seem to be affected by moving objects in the house. I like this one best. This one is also good, the one under the feeder was scaring the other ones away. Thats why the one on the right looks really submissive and the one on the left has his back arched. The fawn first walked up... He's done this before and always gets scared away. This time he waited outside the fence for his (mom I think) to come and see if she could coerce the other one to let them eat. Didn't work he jumped over the fence and scared them off. Hermit Report post Posted December 22, 2008 I think theres a lot of corn also in my parents bird feed. So that could fatten them up also. Its a good deal for these deer.

Neverman Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Hey Hermit, fun thread...but what are the deer's names? I have more wildlife shots on 35mm film (I used to be a bit of an amateur), but I have some on digital that can add here. This one was taken at work, on a smoke break, in Toronto. It's a hawk looking for a good spot to finish eating it's pigeon. I have another action shot I was gonna post aswell, but I'll have to do that another time (at work ). Mugwump Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Fun pics, get some Springtime ones if you can! There are plenty by me due to the suburban munchies they can find. Great fun to watch as well as the songbirds, groundhogs, skunks, woodchucks, wild turkeys, marmots, foxes, whistlepigs, raccoons, river rats, squirrels, land beavers, chipmunks, giant hamsters, bunnies, and more stinkin' garden razing groundhogs, grr! I love venison but wouldn't eat the locals, they must be full of lawn treatment chemicals!
Neverman Report post Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) Here's the other shot... & here's the others... A squirrel, wearing a camo cloak, just before it attempted to assault me... A grasshopper... Some Monarch butterflies gettin' it on Another Monarch, not as controversial... SALAMAN-DA! Common everyone, post more pics, don't make NevermaN look like a thread hog. Where the pics were taken is interesting as well. (These were all in Toronto, Canada, or various campgrounds North of the city) Edited March 19, 2009 by Neverman
