So, what are your thoughts on Saudi Arabia and India putting pressure on Blackberry so they can monitor messages sent by their SMS and mail servers?

 

They even went as far as banning Blackberrys!

 

Some people believe that if they can crack Blackberry, the likes of Skype, MS and Google will be the next targets.

As you might imagine, I believe that any government monitoring, reviewing or archiving of private/personal communications between members of the public prior to establishing reasonable suspicion of criminal activities (and in most circumstances also requiring the obtaining of a court order) is an unwarranted invasion of privacy.
