Problem when running el.exe

heya guys,

 

I have a problem when trying to run el.exe - it just doesnt do anything heheh - when I run el.exe it opens a window and in the window it gives me thick lines in green and yellow and pink - till halfway the screen. Any idea whats the problem?

ok Update:

 

I downloaded the update and now when I run el.exe I get a screen with all kinds of symbols - looks like symbols and drawings from in the game - still it doesnt run the game tho.

 

Any idea again?

wtf? its doing the same thing to me :):cry: and its not just a bunch of symbols, what it is is the textures graphics.....every time i click el.exe it just pulls the textures graphic up in the window

Oh, and when i try to run the map editor it just comes up in black and white only? :):cry: any help would be great so i can start up on the new system...

Tried again today but still no luck - I found the error log file and looked at it and this is the error I am getting when running el.exe:

Error: Can't open cursors file.

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/font.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/fontv.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/console.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/sky.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/particles.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/items2.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/items5.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/items6.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/portraits1.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/portraits2.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/portraits3.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/portraits4.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/portraits5.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/sigils.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/ground_detail.bmp

Error: Problems loading texture: ./textures/login_menu.bmp

Any idea how to fix this?

Well im not sure what the problem was but i have ran el just fine for the last 3 updates, and when i did this one it just went crazy....i just deleted and redownloaded everything and it works now. so try that brainstorm...delete all your el files and redownload the game then redownload the update and try that.

That tells me you didn't extract and keep the folder information, or you downloaded the update into a new directory and don't have all the files. Remove everything and to a fresh full install and make sure that you keep the directory structure.
