Test server testing

Recommended Posts

I made some significant improvements to the way the server handles movement, and now the server can handle much more load than it did previously.

It works great on my own testing machine, but before deploying it on the main server we need to test a few things:

1. Changing maps/dyeing.

2. Logging in and out.

3. Killing monsters, waiting for them to respaen and see if they respawn properly.

4. Check especially the corners of the maps (all 4 of them)

5. Make sure summonings and invasions work (I'll invade some later).

6. Use invisibility/ts potions.

If you have some issues, such as not being able to see someone, seeing someone double, and so on, please post here, prefferably with screenshots.

Known problem:

NPCs are gone.

I had no problems changing from VotD to KF map but my game froze when trying to enter NC from VotD

Logging in and out was fine

UPDATE: when I relogged I was still froze in VotD/NC map change but time still went by and compass moved though picture never changed....map went to normal and I was in NC able to play after I clicked the ? in the menu bar

After login in Mynadar, I can't see storage NPC, he come when new minute come.

Ok, very interesting observation, can you please try to reproduce it again, and if you can, post the steps?

Ok, I [think I] fixed the following bugs:

Going in NC and other similar maps.

Actors going outside the minimap circle and remaining visible.

Possibly fixed the Molgor dissapearing bug, but I am not sure.

So please retest all those things, and repeat the tests I asked you to do in the first post. And use the Minimap on, to be able to spot weird things easier.
