Win a Binding stone

I am thinking of setting up an event where we all fight each other in a multi map, a sort of last man standing and have a binding stone as a prize.

 

I would be fighting for my Binding stone and you will be killing eachother and me to get it

 

But would i get enough players to make it worth while?

 

Rules

 

1: No leaving designated area (If you leave you are out of the contest)

 

2: Summoning + stones can be used

 

3: No Brods all other weapons are fine

 

4: Dis /Damage rings are aloud but refer to rule 1

 

5: You can carry a rosto if you want

 

6: No one will fight till the official starts the contest

Edit:

7 for this to work everyone has to be independent no 2 people in the same guild so some might have to leave the guild for the contest

 

 

 

If i got 10 players it would be fun but who would be interested put your ingame name below

Handy, this looks like fun, but some of us are sort of out right away. (I can't kill Woodeh, or you for that matter.)

 

Could we perhaps break it into two or three rounds for lower and middle level fighters? I know Woodeh will love to run in the middle and break it up, but we already have a great referee for that: arenas! They still work! Perhaps a few higher level characters could escort to the arenas or something like that. (Now it sounds like capture the flag with characters as flags ).

Ok, now I'm going off on tangents.

 

I love the idea, but I'm afraid I can't participate quite yet.

 

Would anyone like me to work out the logistics of either a capture the flag scenario or a tournament day? We could do it in conjunction with or as a warm-up to Handy's event.

More people should think about using the arenas,

 

I would like to see invasions near arena's so lower levels can hide away from the top level pk-ers

I dont really know to what a/d or combat ranges the arenas work tho.

I kinda agree with Sy, this would just end up being another Binding Stone to either you, me, segor, or yaser.. And thats not really fair, maybe something can be changed and hold some sort of other Contest? Giving others the chance to do so, maybe a Hyper Bag, or something?

 

Like.. You place the bag, you give coords/map.. First there wins, and there will be PK on the way, still gives the lowers a chance, if they know what they're doing

The whole idea was to have a PK contest on the Pk server

 

I do contest for lower lvl players all the time thats why i keep ReMuS low a/d so even a 1 day old player can kill him

 

The reason I thought of a binding stone as a prize because it might actually make someone see a fight through to the end

I also thought it would make for good advertising an actual PK event on the Pk server

with players killing each other

Maybe i should do a harvest event or a mixing competition instead that way players wont have to hit each other lol

 

I thought i would offer the most sort after thing on this server as a prize and try to put the PK into the PK server but feel i have wasted my time

 

Ill go get some mixing ings then we can all have some fun cant wait

If being a contest wouldn't break my non-PK status, I might play. But there would have to be some sort of classes because I wouldn't last 2 hits against the top fighters with their fancy armor and swords (some of which I've mixed).

 

Perhaps something based on points related to the a/d differences? Kind of like PKI, but applicable to everyone who participates.

 

Perhaps something based on MrHide creating waves of critters to fight in an enclosed space, like the TD summoning arena (again, based on the levels of the contestant)?

 

Something that would level the playing field in a way that anyone would have a chance to win given their high or low a/d levels.

Well, here was my idea for capture the flag (it would of course involve MrHide's help, so he'll have to approve it):

 

Players breaks into two teams (which should be easy since we're a small server). MrHide places two creatures in small, known locations (say a house outside the city in PL and the potion house up north). The object is to protect your invaded creature while killing the other team's. Obviously the only real prize can be drops and PK itself, but I think it could be fun, particularly with storage being PK. The city itself provides a nice neutral territory.

 

There could be two designated Team Leaders who make up a channel and let everyone on their team know (again, #ci tells us if we have spies), make up strategies, share resources, etc... It might require some guild shifting for the day.

 

Lower level players could run around setting mines or just dying and reporting where so-and-so is (recon). Mid-level players could band together, and high-level players could be strategically placed to do the most damage. The idea is that all of the players could be used.

Don't take it too harsh, I was never a PKer and I don't see me as one, I never PKed on main and even on this server I only do it because some ppl got me started.

 

I did say I would try it if I was online (everyone noticed already, that i'm not much on lately).

 

My 2 biggest problems atm are, finding time to play and a laggy connection (always above 500ms)

Didnt get the interest that i was after

 

I thought the whole server would of had fun

 

Archers Mines Catrops Mages Fighters Summons Healers Even players agreing to team up to take out higher lvl fighters

 

I thought it woulds be fun a mad event

 

I visioned the land covered in mines getting attacked by one player poisened and mana drained by others even MrHide could have given us a few friendly invaders LOL probabaly would have lagged the server out

 

But it didnt get the interest that i was hoping for

 

So i auctioned off the Binding stone that was sold to Odin and Made 65kgc for the GWIS project
