Theladin Report post Posted June 29, 2008 (edited) UPDATED FRIDAY JULY 4TH Sunday, July 6th at 2pm GMT and Monday, July 7th at 2am GMT we begin the Big Bag Race! Currently there are over 1,100,000gc worth of prizes that will be given away over a 3 hour period (each session). Prizes will be hidden all over Seridia and Irilion in hyperbags and every couple of minutes a location will be posted. First player to reach the bag with a skeleton key wins the prize. Some prizes will be of great value; CoL, Steel Greaves, Steel Cuisses, Rostogol Stone, big bags of gold, Adventurers Caps. Other prizes will be more modest; sets of Leather Armor, Stones, Capes, smaller bags of gold. A few bags, however, will be duds. Watch out for the Black Rose. Currently there are over 30 bags to be given away but I expect many more to be included by race day. Pass the word!! This not an event to miss!! Make sure you tune in to Channel #7 on race day for your chance to win! Keep an eye on this thread. More information will be made available as we get closer to race day! Theladin Report post Posted July 1, 2008 More and more bags are being hidden! 50 bags placed now worth a total of 625kgc. Goodies are being placed everywhere from Isla Prime to Glacmor. Even if you don't plan on participating, tune into Channel #7 anyway and keep a skeleton key handy. You never know, that ore or flower you're harving could very well be next to 10,000 gold coins, a Rostogol Stone or even a Crown of Life. That boat you're about to board might very well have an Enriched Fire Essence or a Black Adventurers Cap hidden on it. Everyone has a chance. Whether this is your first time playing EL or whether you've been playing for years, a prize with your name on it could be sitting nearby. Some bags are closer than you might think while some could be hidden in the secret depths of Eternal Lands. Only by tuning in on Sunday will you know for sure. If we reach 100 bags then the contest will be split in half with the second half on Monday at 2AM GMT so that Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the west coast US have a better opportunity to participate. Theladin Report post Posted July 3, 2008 Rules & Instructions: 1) Log onto Channel #7 during race time to participate. Currently race time is 2PM GMT on Sunday. If we get over 100 bags dropped then the contest will be split into two with the second half starting at 2AM GMT on Monday 2) Do not say anything in channel that is not 100% necessary. I don't want 200 people typing "lol" or "hi" or anything else otherwise people will miss the coordinates posted. If you disrupt things you may be muted or even kicked from the channel. 3) Make sure you have your skeleton keys ready. Each bag will require a key to open!! 4) Some locations posted might be obscure (like Bobby's Tavern and Grill - 123,132 or Rainbow Forest - 54,198). There will be NO additional hints given so don't ask. 5) If you find a bag, please PM me with the coordinates and the prize (or the bag number from the list above) so that we can compile a list of who found what. 6) Some bags are in dangerous places. Make it you give, let's say, 3 locations at the same time and only one of them has a bag, that would add a lot more fun I think and not everybody would be running to the same spot.
