LabRat Report post Posted May 14, 2008 (edited) I regularly get asked all manner of bot questions, normally from new players wanting a bot. I wrote this little flowchart to aid in finding the price. As usual comments and queries are welcomed. 1 Do you want a bot? * yes goto 2 * no goto end 2 Is it going to be a trade bot? * yes goto 3 * no goto 4 3 Is it going to be a blessed trade bot? * yes goto 5 * no goto 6 4 Is it going to be a guard bot? * yes goto 6 * no goto 7 5 Blessed bots cost $100 per blessing (+500 P/C) and then $20 per year after the first year goto end 6 Non-blessed bots cost $20 per year goto end 7 After the bot is made official will there be a need to trade (or bag drop) with the bot for any reason? * yes it is classed as a trade bot. goto 3 * no it is not a trade bot. goto 8 8 Is it going to be a guild bot? * yes goto 9 * no goto 10 9 Is it going to be a blessed guild bot? * yes goto 5 * no goto 6 10 Is it going to be a community bot (for example gossip or eternalbroker)? * yes goto 11 * no goto 12 11 Make a proposal to Radu (Entropy on the forum) describing the bot's purpose to be considered as a free bot goto end 12 Will the bot follow you around? * yes goto 13 * no goto 14 13 Talk to Learner about his rent-a-ant or rent-a-fox service goto end 14 Do you want the bot to fight for you? * yes goto 15 * no goto 16 15 Bots can't fight for you. goto end 16 Will the bot just talk? * yes goto 17 * no goto 18 17 Bots that just talk are acceptable. Is it going to be a blessed chat bot? * yes goto 5 * no goto 6 18 Ok you beat me! I would suggest having a word with Entropy, Learner or Aislinn to discuss the bot. goto end end Thank you for using my service. I hope you found it useful. For comments please contact labrat ingame or via gossip. Edited May 15, 2008 by LabRat

LabRat Report post Posted May 14, 2008 Easy. you pay $20 and have a nice trip from hell for the bot on a regular basis.
Jaxbot Report post Posted May 14, 2008 Easy. you pay $20 and have a nice trip from hell for the bot on a regular basis. I'd suspect that'd just be a waste of bandwidth. Though, I'm not sure if you can even by a guardbot for $20, iirc it said something in the bot rules about guardbots are $100 for guarding fees anyways. Or maybe I'm wrong. Guardbots get one blessing by default as part of the guardbot fee.
