Lu06 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 The animation programs don't work on some ATI cards (most ATI cards I'd say). Working for me so far but I haven't spent enough time testing Sky 5 yet. Will keep using it from now on and report any problems.

Florian Report post Posted May 19, 2008 Animation programs don't work on my ATI 9800 PRO and my ATI X1600. They don't seem to work on ATI Radeon HD 3870 either.
Entropy Report post Posted May 19, 2008 What OS are you trying them on, and what exactly is the problem?
kl4Uz Report post Posted May 19, 2008 The ATI drivers for Linux are really crappy I noticed it myself, so maybe that's the issue Florian.
Florian Report post Posted May 20, 2008 WinXP SP2 latest ATI drivers: Video card: RADEON 9800; Vendor ID: ATI Technologies Inc.; OpenGL Version: 2.1.7412 Release Mac OS X 10.4.11: Video card: ATI Radeon X1600; OpenGL Engine Vendor ID: ATI Technologies Inc.; OpenGL Version: 2.0 ATI-1.4.56 During the daytime the actors don't get drawn unless I shorten the programs by removing some light-related stuff. Entropy Report post Posted May 20, 2008 Is your ATI Radeon X1600 under Windows too? And what do you mean by shoretening the programs? I thought the CVS abd download version already have the vertex programs adjusted so that they run on ATI fine.
Florian Report post Posted May 20, 2008 The X1600 is Mac OS X. I won't infest my Mac with WinXP. My datadir was 1.6.0 + sky textures. I just updated the *.vert files from CVS. Outside during the day: actors and shadows visible, so far so good. Inside (SRM sto) all actors one solid color, not OK. Impact on FPS: outside with correctly working animation programs: zero. inside with solid actors: FPS drop from 56 (UVP: 0) to 37 (UVP: 1)
Entropy Report post Posted May 20, 2008 I guess that's an Apple/ATI problem. Anyone having this card on Linux or Windows?

Roja Report post Posted May 25, 2008 Locking this thread for now because people keep reporting the same bugs-mostly all of those are already responded to-just look through the thread. There'll be a new test client soon.
