Whats the best way to make gc?

Recommended Posts

This isnt for my benefit but im just interested in what ways people find best to make gc. For me its harvesting silver to turn into either HEs or LEs. Whats your best way to get gc, is to get to a good manu level and mkae great swords or the old lupine or iron etc etc etc?

Arrow.

In my experience, the more work you put into something, the less (unfortunately) you make off it. So one can make the most gc by simply harvesting stuff and selling it (the most extreme case being those who just harvest and sell flowers). Next is essence which need a single mixing step. The books are pretty cheap and the results (LEs, HEs, etc) sell well.

As others have pointed out, items that need a lot of processing (crafting, manufacturing, engineering, etc) are net loss. Individual items (like a CoL) may sell well, but when you include the cost of leveling up, the cost of the books, failures, cost of rare ingredients (like stones) I'm not sure it's possible to turn a net profit.

So if you have a temporary or long-term goal to make some gc, keep it simple.

It depends if you mean easiest or quickest way to make money. Seems like Harving Gypsum for free and selling for 7-10 gc from sto is pretty good return but of course unless you have very high emu if can be a pain going backl and forth to sto.

But then it seems some people willl even pay 3gc for it from a bag at Gypsum face.... but that is just lazy!!

Do you reckon hunting can supply a good level of gc income.
Probably not when compared to harvesting/alchemy. It simply takes to long to collect the animal bits compared to getting a load of ore.
