_BlanC_ is a scammer

_BlanC_ asked me today to accompany him somewhere but wouldn't answer where. I assumed he wanted help going to some dangerous map. For example, a person might ask you to go with him to Naralik and fend off goblins while he buys books. So I followed him to NC. When we arrived, there seemed to be this PK arena there. He said he wanted to PK. I asked his A/D and it turned out to be 15/15 . I said no and told him and that it wouldn't be fair to him because I'm 29/30. He said he wouldn't mind dying. I refused again and I said "NO". I was about to leave when he summoned a white tiger. The tiger killed me and _BlanC_ took my exacavator cape, augmented pants and steel long sword.

 

I was told this isn't illegal to trick people into PKing so just beware of this guy everyone.

hmmz. about the same time I was at NC collecting bear skins outside storage. A couple players, including _BlanC_ started following me about very closely. Anyway I finally asked him in what he wanted, and he said we should go to NC arena. I am no PKer, and was busy on bears, so I declined, and as the OP says, his stats are laughably inadequate. No way on earth did he stand any chance in PK against somebody who was slaughtering bears, suggesting a con to me at least.

 

Nothing really specific evidence-wise, maybe a concerted effort to mug somebody, maybe just a misguided step into PK - who knows?

 

also why on earth were you wearing a exc cape and steel long and aug pants? SL and aug pants are not standard kit for harvesting in NC, and exc cape is not the usual PK equipment.

sadarar, I wasn't in NC when I first saw him. I don't PK either. I'm only in the game at the moment for alchemy and manufacturing fun and hunting wolves/goblins.

 

I was heading towards the gold cave in VoTD to harvest gold ore and hunt goblins when he asked me to accompany him somewhere. I assumed he needed help with something and I'm always more than happy to help out people so I followed him to NC. When we got there, he said he wanted to PK. I refused so he asked my A/D. I told him my stats. I asked for his stats and verified using /gossip. When they were much lower than mine, I refused to PK twice. I even made it clear that I don't PK.

So he summoned a white tiger and killed me.

 

After I respawed, I decided to give him a chance. I even offered to buy my stuff back but he refused.

 

In any case, I'm not worried about my stuff. I easily manufactured another steel long sword and augmented pants and bought another excavator cape from WSC.

 

This thread was simply a warning for others so they don't fall in the same trap.

You keep saying " by taking your exc cape into a fight". Again, it wasn't my intention to fight nor did I know I was going to fight. He never told me he wanted to PK until he stoped somewhere in NC. I was wearing the cape to make harvesting gold faster in VoTD cave which was my actual destination. I saw _BlanC_ on the way and thought that whatever he wanted wouldn't take more than a few minutes so going back to the storage would have been a waste of time. I'm not complaining about the cape. I can afford to buy at least a few. I'm just saying that people shouldn't trick you into going somewhere by asking for help and PK you without telling you or without agreement.

He should have said he wanted to PK instead of asking me to accompany him.

Regarding Naralik, goblins there can't really hurt me.

 

Forget the cape or my stuff. I can make my own stuff. What if he does this to someone else who has to buy his sword or augmented pants?

So it is the sword not the cape that confuses me. NM, I confuse easy, and like I say I don't mean to suggest anything bad. sorry for your loss, others be wary etc
