Pre RC 10

Recommended Posts

http://www.eternal-lands.com/el_pre_rc_05_03_07.exe

The name of the exe to run is el_pre_rc_10.exe

This should work on ALL the cards, but if there are issues, post them here.

You will notice that under the FPS thingy, there is a : UVP thing, which should be 0 or 1.

Please make sure you have your video card specs in the signature, and post if that thing is 0 or 1, regardless of what videocard you have.

The Linux data files can be found as a zip here: http://www.eternal-lands.com/el_prerc10_linux_files.zip

P.S. Oops, sorry, client compiled on my machine, so it will crash in some maps. Use the normal client to get out of those maps, then try again.

P.P.S. Ok, here is a fixed exe (not an installer), overwrite the old one with this one: http://www.eternal-lands.com/el_pre_rc_10.exe

should there be linux binary in zip file? (run it using wine)

No binary for Linux yet, you will have to compile the cvs or use wine.

So, I encountered the C++ runtime error mentioned earlier in this thread when trying this RC.

Then I uninstalled EL using uninstall.exe. Reinstalled 1.5.0 from el_150_install.exe. Then installed this RC, and attempted to run it. Still the same error.

It seems to work fine until i go full screen then crash. Wondering if all these crashes are ppl who use full screen as a default.

Just a thought.

I am running the el_pre_rc10.exe and I find it hard to believe it'd be map issue, because I do not even get to login screen. To be exact, I don't even get the screen displaying supported GL features.

UVP1

Those with runtime errors.. try swapping maps with old rc then try RC10 again... Ent did say some maps might crash

it works if I --use_animation_program=0 but crashes without that.

#data_dir is correctly pointing to the new directory.

edit: that shows UVP: 0

The client crashes as soon as it starts, before I attempt login. At that stage no map is trying to load. Edited by LabRat
