Pre rc9 fix for ati, nvidiago, s3, sis

This needs Pre RC9 installed first.

Then download: http://www.eternal-lands.com/el_pre_rc_9_a...s3_nvidiago.exe

 

This fixes:

1. Ati flicker problem with the new selection.

Should fix (but not tested due to lack of hardware)

1. SiS and S3 problems.

2. Nvidia Go cards problems.

 

Probably tot yet fixed, but try anyway:

Intel 965/963 crash

Problems with some ATIs and fog enabled.

Mouse cursor not changing with 16bpp WINDOWS video modes.

 

If you have a card that previously had problems (nvidia go, SiS, S3, ATI, Intel), please post the results here, negative or positive.

 

P.S. this is not an installer, so download it in your el folder and try it from there.

The flickering is gone in all the places I saw it before. I still have problems getting into some places using the door or the use icon--most notably deepstone, TG sto, and the cave exit out of "Vengeance" in II. With deepstone--I've never been able to get past. With TG sto and II, if I move around and try the icon over the entirety of the the cave exit or door, I eventually find a spot that works.

Managed to log in to see the #day momentarily, then resynced with fps 0 then the client crashed. ;)

 

Your drivers are old, other people with your card and newer drivers report no problems.

no problems here so far..is the health bars suppose to appear larger?

Runs okay,

i never noticed a flicker before, however in less than 32bp colour i cant change the cursor icon, works fine when i change it back to 32bpp

Flicker is gone.

 

I still get instant crash if I enable reflections, shaders folder renamed or not. I doubt they'd have usable FPS with this super-low-end card anyway.

Itried to install this, but I got the following error:

 

This application has failed to start because SDL_image.dll was not found. RE-installing the application may fix this problem.

 

Is this it's fault? or my computer's fault? Please let me know, thanks.

no problems here so far..is the health bars suppose to appear larger?

 

I guess that's with the shaders dir renamed or removed? Try to put it back, see if it works.

put it back and it crashed upon logining in so i renamed again and it works. i guess the bars arent that big of a deal..hehe
