VERY low FPS when water comes on the screen and a bit of lag from time to time

 

Same here, turn water shader quality to '0' and should work.

* edit * I noticed that when I went into the game on normal client, it gave me a long list of Error Logs, wuld it be a help to post these ? They are pretty vast , but if it helps to perhaps see why SiS video card is so crapola , I will come back and post them

If shadow mapping is on then all characters are solid color.

Glad to here that you may have a fix for the flicker problem ^^.

 

I stated previously...

 

Regarding Ground elements flashing;

 

I have all my graphics/video options enabled for previous RCx versions. RC8 is giving me ground element flashing in the EVTR "cellar" and "cave" but not in the above ground.

 

I disabled the frame buffer (and VBO) with no effect. I then re-enabled these then tried turning off reflections and water shaders option off...this too had no effect on the flashing anomaly in these locations.

 

And with my 'shader' folder renamed 'shader_' had no effect on the flicker as noted.

 

However this morning when I logged into game (using pre_RC8) I noticed that the EL time was 3:25. At this time the outside EVTR Map had no ground flicker and I still had 'cellar and 'cave' flicker. Then the EL sunset (3:30) and I began to see flicker on the outside EVTR Map!

 

Don't no if this is significant or not but thought that it might be helpful info.

 

EDIT: On EVTR Map - At precisely 0:30 EL time (sun rise) the above ground flickering stopped!! However flickering continues in the 'cellar; and 'ancient cave/tunnels'. Everything else seems fine^^. Note that the 'Water Shader Quality' feature is stuck at '0' - cant seem to adjust it. Everything else works in View Options tho.

 

EDIT: No above ground elements are flickering on other MAPs during daylight hours.

I get a crash when i try change the resolution (800x600x32b -> 1024x768x32b)

Also turning on shadows and/or render fog, renders players/bots weird -> see [this] video (20MB)

Close the client, go to the shaders directory, open anim_shadow.ver (but first make a backup of it)

Ok, i removed the lines, but the problem persisted. Now the it looks a bit different - see [this] video (13MB)...

I also have the flickering problem (SR caves and SR for what i have seen until now).

Here are the info:

 

Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 x86/SSE2

I have tried to turn on / turn off the vbo and the frame buffer, but it seems nothing changed.

Everything else seems to work fine for me. I'll use the RC for a while and report if I see anything else.

I've noticed a graphics problem though - actors and water (with shader quality >0) aren't affected by fog. Screenshot

Snake textures are still "flipped".

Sometimes I got disconnected when draining animals. No resync, no lag, just an immediate disconnect.

The disconnect bug is quite annoying, anyone else encountered it?

No matter what i do or where i am (different locations, console, other window) i get these messages. Maybe they are related to the disconnect bug?

yes i deleted the log then started the client 3 times i got the same log all 3 times and posted one of them

Ok, thanks, I think I might have found the problem.

If someone with a SiS card that also crashes could post the infos log would be great, I think the problem might be common to both cards.

I have an error which i've had since the first EL Pre release, If i change to windowed view from full screen I get a problem where none of the characters are displayed, it ls like they are invisible, This is my error log, ill also post a screenie
