Pre RC client available, please download and test it

At first i got a "crash"

later , Got new update from nvidia

and now things are working fine. water is excelent.

however the "sky" is pulsing like a strobe light . grey strobe light.

video card: qadro FX 1500

windows XP

 

Turn the frame buffer on (if not already on) an the vertex Buffer Objects.

After of some exploration, i got crashed in:

 

Kusamura jungle ... i got a message of error only enter the map;

Emerald valley (iron cave) ... the same

 

Does it happen all the time? or just sometimes?

Ok i get a C++ runtime error upon entering the EVTR mine, using any of the 3 new executables... when it tries to render that mine it crashes.

 

I was able to log in using the old v1.5.0 exe, and was standing in the mine. I tried walking further into the mine then logging out, then i tried the new el_all.exe again; still crashed.

 

Seems the new client doesn't like rendering the mine in EVTR. This problem replicates every time.

 

This was on the PK server, i'll try it on the main server shortly and post results.

 

Also; i tried turning off Frame Buffer and Vertex Buffer Objects... didn't help.

 

EDIT1: Ok problem still happening on main server, exactly the same.

 

EDIT2: Another note; when i turn off reflections, the water in c2 portals room doesn't just stop showing reflections, it turns into this greeny-black putrid looking water... kinda cool ^^

Ok...everything seems to be working fine... running Vista Home...

 

Not much of a difference ...shade 2 just seems to make water darker.

ok! sky is normal again (color: black) :P

i get the same problens like Mavig and Korrode.

 

the only way to solve is loging the old client, take back my char to another map and come back to the new el 1.6

 

Cant go inside pk cave in EVTR gets crash

sometimes i can and sometimes i cant click on caves and flags too. but i cant reproduce that.

If i right click on myself (or any char/monster) and change the cursor to the attack icon, then when i move the cursor over a bag or door it doesn't automatically change to the bag or door icon. I have to right click the bag/door to get it to become the right icon so i can use.

 

This bug exists for the pickaxe (harvesting icon) also, client doesnt auto-change to it when i hover over harvestables.

 

You should be able to right click when your cursor is over door/bag/harvestable and it should change to the right icon so u can click... well, thats how it is for me anyways.

As usual, read the whole thing, and if you ask a question or report a bug that has been already explained here, you might get banned from the game for a week or so.

I made this RC as user friendly as possible, so here are the instructions:

 

Donwloaded the patch / replacement, i was running the full with no problems at this point. I tried to change my color and looks but was unable to see most races in the editor / options. I have a p2p lifetime race and could pick the button but most of the races would not show up to config the looks. As a result the first attempt was unsuccessful. Please let me know if you need more information on this. Thank you...

 

UPDATE - tried it again with the older client, it worked 100%. Color change was successful. Again, if you need more information, please let me know what you require.

 

UPDATE 2 - Tried with the new full client, i was able to make the correct color and race changes, but i was unable to scan around and zoom in and out on this attempt.

 

UPDATE 3 - Tried with the old client, all options, color, race, zoom, scan around worked 100% again.

As with some others here, all 3 Clients crash instantly for me.

 

The error I see posted is:

line 1385 in browser.lst is too short!line 1560 in browser.lst is too short!Unable to strip off relative path!

 

My video card is a Geforce 6100.

right click doesn't work.

BTW: Those who have problems with the new selection client, please disable the fog and try again.

The fog is not compatible with the new selection yet. So if you encounter this problem, try to disable the fog and see if it resolves your problem...

I had the same problem, but when activating "show reflections" it was fixed :)

 

 

**In some places little illuminated the water one is dark, almost black, but I believe that it is normal... I will hope the day to be safe :D

 

 

EDIT: Well... the color of the water did not change with the day, but it was solved when deactivating shadows :D

So far I have only tested the "all" client. Everything looks great and the framerates are much better with spells etc. Problem is I get a runtime error when entering certain maps. So far I have confirmed KJ and EVTR mines as crashing the client every time. If I try to log in when I am already on one of those maps the client crashes immediately.

 

This log looks fine (infos.log) but I'll post it anyway.

Needed drivers update as well

Worked fine after drivers update :(

 

Can't change water shaders to 2. I stays at 0

I'm almost sure my card supports them

Sorry, I didn't know. That's just what it posted in my Error log. :)

 

I decided it may be a good idea to update my Graphics Card drivers, even though they appeared to work great, and yup, that was the problem. It no longer crashes for me. :D

I don't know if this is intentional or not but on this client the player names are significantly higher above their heads. I had a look for an option to change this but could not find one. IMO it is less desirable because when sat at storage you can't see who is walking in and out.

 

Just thought I'd mention it. :laugh:
