Importing custom map markings

Recommended Posts

Hi, I made quite a few markings on my maps in version 1.4 and I would like to import them into version 1.5.

I am using Linux and can see that there are *.elm.txt files containing the comments in my .elc folder from v 1.4.

I've tried copying these to the .elc folder for v 1.5 without any joy.

A few people have commented that doing the above should solve the problem, but it has not done so for me.

I would appreciate it if someone would post a working howto.

Mapmarks (and other files like chatlog and counters) aren't saved in the same folder where EL is installed anymore, but - in case of mapmarks on Linux - in ~/.elc/main/maps/

Chatlog/counters in ~/.elc/main/

Thank you kindly for the speedy reply there molime. I created a ~/.elc/main/maps folder and copied the *.elm.txt files over from my v 1.4 config and have my map markings/comments back. I didn't even have to restart the client. :icon13:
