logging in (different problem)

hi there

i used to play on EL alot

but i stopped for a while but now i want to play agian

 

i have downloaded EL and it manages to get to the log in page

 

i type in my user name and password

 

it starts to load but when it tried to get onto the ingame bit it comes on for about 0.001 of a scond and then the whole games just closes itself down...

 

what can i do?

what does the file error_log.txt say, it would be in the \Program Files\Eternal Lands directory on windowz or usually ~/.elc/ on linux.

 

Would also help to know which operating system you are using :D

Video card? Drivers up to date?

i went on that errorlog thigy... it says this

Nothing really there out of the ordinary, I'm guessing it's a fresh install? Still need to know the Operating system, Windows XP? Vista? Linux? Distro?

 

And usually one of the main things that I've seen where it does what you describe is when video drivers are out of date or not installed correctly, it is important to keep the drivers up to date so you need to know what type of video card you have.

If that does not resolve the issue, then more information is needed on your computer, mainly OS and Video card
