I didnt mean to say that Piper checked ...He looked at wht was posted and gave a comment...Anyways..Anyone else that cant connect pls email service@above.net and keep emailing them send your trace copy or whtever ..Just give em hell..I still am ..

Well, I still haven't been able to connect, either. Will call them later when I have the chance.

 

By the way, your local At&t "tech" support will not be able to even understand this problem. They have no knowledge of the router problems, etc.

 

IF someone from above.net contacted At&t, between them they could solve this.

 

I don't think that is happening :/

 

Will wait and call soon.

Hi everyone.

 

We're currently investigating from our (Europe) side with NeoTelecoms and Above.net and we have not found anything "not-normal" (yet).

 

It seems (I said "seems", we're currently investigating) the problem is on the US side, some big ISP (AT&T was mentionned in the thread) might have "lost" some IP blocks...

Well, it was resolved last night roughly at 4:30 EST USA and worked fine all night and this morning. Once again today at the same time, 8:30 EST USA the problem is back and still not connecting as of this writing. :(

Unfortunately not resolved for everyone (including me). I have not been able to log on since 8/14 a.m.

As I posted above, I too was able to connect yesterday afternoon/evening and now this morning (8:00 am PST) it's failing again. Same traceroute as I posted yesterday failing at:

I live in Pennsylvania and wasn't able to connect all day yesterday till about 6-7pm and then I was able to connect for about an hour last night maybe longer but now I can't connect to the server again :pinch:

I also can not connect to the server again. I was able to reconnect around 3:30pm Pacific Standard Time until around 11:00pm when I logged off for the evening.

Just chiming in with a "me too." I live in PA, use Comcast, and am having the same problem. I was able to log in fine yesterday evening (but I didn't try during the day). Like others, my connection times out after an above.net hop.

I live in Oklahoma, My ISP was SBC, now owned by AT&T. I haven't been able to connect to EL game server at all yesterday and still not able to today.

 

Anyways hope this problem gets resolved soon.

I live in Wisconsin, have a satellite connection and have the same problem

 

I'm in Wisconsin as well.

 

Well, the problem seems to be with above.net again, and since it reoccurred exactly 24 hours later, they clearly didn't fix the root cause. I opened another ticket with them, referencing yesterday's tickets. It seems as though they're updating a router table with a corrupted one, or something like that. Annoying.

I got off work last night and connected first try from Taylorville, Illinois on my DSL from CTItech/Illinois Consilidated, found some interesting things on the maps and was hoping to continue checking them out today.....Wrong!!!

 

At 4 or 5 AM I had EL, when I got back up at 10, no EL.

 

Hopefully when I get off work at 11:30 I will once again be able to play, at least I might have my EL nights!
