And afaik, she was never a mod but a newb helper (i know this from the old folks in ^v^ who told me ancient histories). I also remember Newcomers Island..where we had to learn the very basics..took me DAYS to get of off there!! And oh..the first rabbit I killed..I can still feel the pain it caused me..and yes..I still say a little prayer for each roadkill that I pass..and appologise in silnece when I see a deer go down by my hands.. And oh..I remember Hurcules..the Mighty One..the ONLY true Hurcy..I sat there, at his feet..in awe how he took down a bear while I healed the small wounds the bear caused...never in my wildest dreams i thought i would ever be brave enough to copy that! Yes..i remember everything..and I am amazed how much has changed..and yet..stayed the same..the community..the way we connect with all ppl around the Universe..just like the intention of our God was, here on the Eternal Lands.. I remember running through Grubani as a very new newbie with two very nice guides, Kasgoroth and HempKnight...it was pk then and I remember being petrified I would click on one of them! It was exciting though I also remember sitting at the bar in Moonshadow's Tavern with Nillyfein and Tumaros entertaining me while I was mixing and drinking combat potions to get that elusive level 30 so I could FINALLY wear the white potions cape. (the equivilent of our mm cape now) Oh!!! and MikeH and his llama religion! LOL No tab maps No help_me's... Lol about the no auto harvesting (one item per click): It was soo funny when somebody got a macro to harvest for them...the way it worked, anything that got between your cursor and the item got clicked instead...you could always tell who had the macro when the bear walked in front and they clicked it Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You could only trade amount of items that met your EMU. And when you had to sell i.e. 10k HE, and you've got only 500 EMU oe even less... uhm... well, go figure. The common trick was to put all HE's to bag, get the money from the buyer, and step down from the bag. This was of course a great opportunity to get scammed (especially when you were buying something), also somone could easly bagjump you. Altho I never get scammed this way, neighter cheated anyone. But I must say, I wouldn't preffer this kind of trade right now. EL changed, so do people. It's much more risky way atm. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

MagnuesiuM Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Ahh... lessee, what are the big changes I've seen... inter-map teleport nexii going from a single-channel chat to multichannel cooldown (ahh, I remember, back in the day, mixing diss rings (which were pretty much as high as it got for crafting) with veggies (fruit? nah, not as common)... eat 2 veggies, mix a ring, eat three veggies, mix...) Books, ooh, I remember when gen axe was 70k... and very few people had the levels to be able to make axes gloweys were the fancy thing to have... only from EL shop, you'd pay up to 500kgc in-game for one storage was textual, like NPC trade is now I remember when many of the quests were added... the mad excitement when you could finally get cheap leather (and it was, for a little while, even cheaper than now) no magic quickbar... no auto-mix... ohmigosh, the old teleportal sound effect, that was annoying... no counters... no buddy list... only a few maps ingame as opposed to now... boy, but EL has changed Pretty much the same ive played 3 1/2 years so yaa Also the singe click per harvest And harvesting Veggies in secret spot on IP and asking learner lots of questions and cursing at the fact i couldnt harvest quartz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
