Do you have a firewall?

If so, try disabling it temporarily and see if that works.

As the client has changed, you may need to add the new client to the list of software allowed to connect to the internet - list your firewall software and we'll see if we can find out how for you.

Try this:

Open a dos-box/command line or however thats called in your windows installation and type:

telnet the-green-leaf.de 2000

Do you see the opening screen of a MUD server or just a black screen?

If its a black screen, you have problems with port number 2000, so something, firewall, router, anti virus tool or whatever is blocking port 2000.

Unrelatedly, the missing framebuffer on that card would likely be caused by out-of-date drivers.

To fix your problem:

Start->run->cmd.exe, telnet game.eternal-lands.com 2000

Does that work? You should get the start message.

if not: telnet game.eternal-lands.com 2001

How about that one?
