Are there anywhere you can read about all these "short" words ?

I have been playing for almost a month now, and understand the most of them, but because english is only my second language, I still have some trouble :-)

I was thinking of suggesting adding a "terms and lingo" page to the web site. There are some terms used in-game that may not be familiar to all players. Some terms are EL specific and some are used in other RPGs.

Here are some terms that might be included:

Eternal-Lands specific:

VOTD = Valley of the Dwarves

DP = Desert Pines

VC = Vermor Castle

WSC = White Stone City

KF = Kilaran Fields

beam = the area near the campfire on Isla Prima where a character goes when the command "#beam me up" is used

tit = titanium

serp = titanium serpent sword

Role-Playing Games:

RP=Role Playing - making your character behave with a consistent personality or behavior

RPG = Role Playing Game

woot = an expression of glee used to celebrate success or accomplishment

mule = someone who carries supplies for another person

pot = potion (in Eternal Lands, sometimes "pot" implies a specific kind of potion - usually Body Restoration potion)

PK = player kill

spawn = the place where new monsters or animals appear

Yeah, and ofcourse those allround abbreviations (typo)

lol - laughing out loud. If you're Dutch you didn't need that one :P

rofl / roflol - rolling over the floor laughing (out loud)

lmao - laughing my ass off (do NOT make the typo lamo here, or you'll get into trouble)

omg - oh my god

omfg - oh my fucking god

wtf/wth - what the fuck/heck

Yeah, and loads more. Think I've read a page on those things a long while ago (explained the history of 1337ness to me...)

And ofcourse, if someone starts ranting in 'shorts' just ask m what they mean.
