DealerOfDeath Report post Posted March 7, 2004 I've never seen in a game, where a character upon reaching a certain level would be able to do a semi-permanent (changable, though costly) and allow players to assume an alternate form: example? Alternate form Humanoid body still, but with dragon like neck and head (ability to bite and use normal weapon and or shield) Serpent / humanoid torso (medusa type) (ability to do something that type of player would do)

harrybacklarry Report post Posted March 11, 2004 can ne1 say UO? not that its not a good game but that is almost a direct rip to be able to change to a dragon or a bunny even if it is only partially
Kasgoroth Report post Posted March 11, 2004 can ne1 say UO? not that its not a good game but that is almost a direct rip to be able to change to a dragon or a bunny even if it is only partially Since when did UO allow you to change into a dragon of some sort after reaching a certain lvl? There are spells who turn you into a beast or a wraith, but if you've read DoD's post more carefully you'd know he wasn't talking about spells. In UO you can change your look for money with no LVL dependencies to do it and the outcome is limited to your appearance only, having a pink beard won't giving you any special abilities in UO... So what are you talking about? Killerlamb Report post Posted March 11, 2004 That's like saying. We have a 100% original game. Don't you have swords? Yes, but we have Titanium Dragon sword... You're still ripping it off!
Yfel Report post Posted March 11, 2004 I like the idea sort of like Morrowind werewolf or vampire.. like when you change to were in morrowind you cant used any items.. or weapons.. you have to kill one person a day to feed the blood lust.. your idea on the high lvl form change is good but let us think of the down falls there should be to such a great spell
DealerOfDeath Report post Posted March 11, 2004 That's like saying. We have a 100% original game. Don't you have swords? Yes, but we have Titanium Dragon sword... You're still ripping it off! Lambkiller, many many games use swords. How many use guns? Who said this was 100% original? Would you like a cork to plug the hole in your barrel of foolishness that spews forth as an unwelcome liquid in the dryness of sober thought? Of course not. You still think there is no leak. LarryBackHarry? Show me one game that is completely original that uses not one thing from another. Most have gun, sword, players that run or walk around and do things, good guys, bad guys, evolution (worthless idea), and other junk. Why not shave to hair on the brain before accusing someone of ripping off anything. Professing themselves to be wise, they became Lambkiller and LarryBackHarry. (back to the matter in concern) Being able to change into or being able to promote ones self into a certain type of creature/humanoid would be like being knighted. Changing from a warrior to a knight, there is a definite outward change in appearance. A reward for being slave to the mouse and keyboard for days on end to gain said appearance. Would a player in a pk map be scary alone? How about one with the head of a dragon, or multiple appendages, or other "improvements" to instill fear in ones enemies? Also, it has been said, dragons are too large and unfit for the gaming engine as is.. a modified character that is more intimidating wouldn't be a pleasant change? BTW- this is the suggestion page. This was, and is, a suggestion P.S. DealerOfDeath goeth before a fall. Oh my! I just read races and found this on Eternal-Lands Races section Draegoni are what look to be a cross between a human and a dragon, yet much more human than dragon like. Legend says that they are children of the mythical dragon god, Iringold. They are highly magical beings that dwell in the colder regions on the extreme ends of the world. It is said that their inherent magical abilities come from the dragon blood that is mixed in their veins, and in their few scales that sparkle on their bodies.
