bregi Report post Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) it's getting worse even with what your trace suggests... I traced the one fr.above.net your trace identified and came up with (calling from the us): 6 -6 -6 -64.125.28.210 so-0-0-0.cr2.dfw2.us.above.net 34 -34 -35 -64.125.29.10 so-2-0-0.cr2.dca2.us.above.net 106 -106 -106 -64.125.27.166 so-0-1-0.mpr1.lhr3.uk.above.net 110 -110 -109 -64.125.27.221 so-1-0-0.mpr3.ams1.nl.above.net 114 -115 -115 -64.125.23.253 pos-9-1.mpr2.fra1.de.above.net 123 -122 -122 -64.125.23.190 ge-9-4.er2a.fra1-de.above.net Timed out -Timed out -Timed out - 193 -214 -217 -64.125.23.202 pos-9-2.mpr2.cdg9.fr.above.net the server that completely timed out must be one of the 64.125.23.* server in the range of *~150 concerning people not being able to connect from the us: there was a problem in the net of level3.net somewhere as a friend told me... dunno anything else 'bout it but the above.net servers and route in and from the us seem fine as up to now... edit: hope for the europeans : the routes on the *.mpr2.fra.de.above.net servers are being changed (I tried some new traces and have been getting a couple of new routes... none of them really working, but at least above.net is working on something... edit2: woha, now things are getting better... slowly the routes via 64.125.23.154 and *.153 and *.150 have been replaced by the following (everything after 'ge-1-4.mpr2.fra1.de.above.net' is what we need to look at ) | Host ------ % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| <> | F-EA1.F.DE.NET.DTAG.DE - 0 | 200 | 200 | 60 | 80 | 270 | 70 | | ge-1-4.mpr2.fra1.de.above.net - 0 | 200 | 200 | 60 | 90 | 330 | 70 | | po10.mpr1.fra1.de.above.net - 62 | 200 | 77 | 60 | 11722 | 63932 | 28471 | (ip: 64.125.23.141) | pos-9-2.mpr2.cdg9.fr.above.net - 33 | 200 | 134 | 70 | 106 | 321 | 80 | (64.125.23.202) | ge4-11.er2b.cdg2.fr.above.net - 13 | 200 | 175 | 70 | 126 | 931 | 80 | (64.125.23.101) | game.eternal-lands.com - 15 | 200 | 170 | 70 | 116 | 501 | 80 | (62.93.225.47) bypassing germany seems like a good idea atm though we still need to be lucky to be routed the right way, but it's better than before... Piper ..and can't connect again :/ Everything worked finde for 10-15 minutes :/ ok, you guys are right, it was just what some spokesman said... I'll not believe them again... though I'm being rerouted... which did not improve the connection... now there's some french server down as well... edit: there's the news: the routing around 64.125.23.154 has been changed, but *.153 remains as an obstackle that'll stop us from playing...
