bkc56 Report post Posted December 29, 2006 I'm doing more and more stuff on the test server and editing the el.ini file each time is getting old. Does the client support a command line parameter to over-ride the default port? If so I can simply define two startup icons: one for the main server, and one for the test server. I've tried the obvious (-p, -sp, -port, -server_port) with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
ttlanhil Report post Posted December 29, 2006 -sp=2001 and --server-port=2001 ... neither of which work, as of a few months back, but the (broken) code is still there
bkc56 Report post Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) -sp=2001 and --server-port=2001 You're right, they both failed a test just now. I am sad. Any chance someone could FIX this? Thanks. Edited December 29, 2006 by bkc56

Placid Report post Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) ......It's: -sp 2001 --server-port=2001 By standards, you only use '=' on the long-options. Edited December 29, 2006 by Placid
ttlanhil Report post Posted December 29, 2006 well, that then. though generally the single dash options are only one letter (and you can have several per dash)... it's not like EL always follows conventions
