My bot's money was going down rather quickly, but I couldn't see why.. I only has a few trades, they all looked perfectly innocent.

 

I monitored Agneum for a short while, and saw jjboy come and do a trade.

 

I won't say how he did it for obvious reasons, but he found a way to get any item for 1 gc.

 

I am using the basic tradebot code so favoured by a lot of bot owners.

 

The exploit was so incredibly simple I am surprised it has been undiscovered this long..

 

Bot owners PM me (use your bot to do it so I know it is really the bot owner without having to wade through the bot owners page)

you #abused the bot, so you got banned from the bot. If you can't handle pickaxes breaking, go harvest lilacs

 

I have a couple of screenies - one of which shows him admitting and explaining the sploit, the other shows him admitting he is going round all the bots doing it.

And yes, that is really strange, that such a trivial bug could exist for ages I understand your pain Lab, jjboy should return you the gold IMHO. But of course scamming bots is not illegal too

He also tried to scamm Medena bot today, luckily there weren't any expensive items on bot.
