This next clue has me beat though (at least so far) so I guess my bright ideas burned out at the same time as me last night.

just look at it, the coords r in the clue, not sure how the rest points to PL mabey 15 is PL's map number in the files

Not that hard (a shock for one of Ents clues they normally fry my brain)

 

Dictionary def of Confluence:

 

1. a flowing together of two or more streams, rivers, or the like: the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.

 

I simply checked all maps that had rivers to see where they join, disregarded maps already used (for the time being) and decided to check them one by one. I was very lucky to be in PL tit mine while compiling the list and checked PL first............a lot of good luck and of course a small amount of judgement

Searing:

 

1. To char, scorch, or burn the surface of with or as if with a hot instrument.

2. To cause to dry up and wither.

So far, all my ideas have brought up nothing :-S

 

- The Searing Sands are in Sedicolis, which is next to Bethel. Tried a few spots on the path there.

- Searing -> Sea ring, so I tried around and in the lake in Bethel

- Se a ring -> I looked for any rings on maps related to Bethel, including the tele room, roads, letters in names on maps, etc.

- I also considered "sear in g," but the addition of "through Bethel" didn't make sense to me

- I tried thinking of "Searing through Bethel" as the word Searing going through the word Bethel, so I looked in the letter "e" in "Searing Sands" on the map in Sedicolis, since "e" is the only common letter.

- I thought of something searing through the ground, so I checked the glowing swords sticking into the ground in Bethel. I also thought of the barrel-teleport

- I looked around all the places where "Bethel" was on a map, trying to see if there was anything interesting there. Checked the Sed->Bethel sign
