A lower-leveled special item?

I've had this idea for a while about promoting some lower-leveled items.

Awhile back, LochnessLobster said the following to me.

And then I was thinking, yea why couldn't we make a lower-leveled special item?

Like a Fur Hat of Life.

 

My idea on it was, it gives you only 20+ health, so its special, but not too much.

 

To make it:

 

lvl 30 manu recommended

Ingreds:

1 Fur Hat

2 OR 3 Greater Healing Potions. Or maybe Body Rests.

8 Magic Essences.

 

Like that, a lower item like a Fur Hat would have a bit more use and be promoted to use it more. ;)

 

Any comments, ideas on this? Its just something that popped up in me.

I don't see why exactly a random chance, the advantage from it isn't that incredibly huge. + You already need 2 Greater Healing Pots for every Fur Hat of Life too..

If you get away with a Fur Hat of life. I would like a skunk hat of mana regeneration. (+5 mana regen, cumulative with fast regen areas or fast regen perk/cape).

 

Reagents:

1 Skunk Hat:

15 Magic ess

10 Energy Ess

5 SRs

1 Binding Stone

Really nice idea, I'd like to see some of those items in game as well, not too powerfull but interesting and giving some bragging rights to newbies :laugh:.

How about both ways of obtaining them - through recipe as well as random?

Bindings... they're one of the most wanted items in game already...

How many SRs would I need if I took a tit/steel plate combination for max armor when I go training on fluffy?

I think they both sound great. It would be good to have something that maybe new people can afford and still have the bigger things like the CoL and CoM. I like the ideas ;)

Such items need to be lucky creates rather than recipes.

 

Recipes need to include exotic items to avoid mass production, which are already demanded by greater items; the lesser items become in competition for resources with these and will lose every time.

 

As a random enhanced item, low level characters all have a chance to make something special.

Leather helm of attack: +2 to damage and accuracy

Leather gloves of mana: +10 ethereal points

Leather torso of life: +15 to material points

Leather pants of poison: 1% chance to poison your opponent

 

Augmented leather torso of defense: +2 to defense instead -1

Augmented leather pants of heal: 1% change to cast heal (spell) on you

 

Iron chain of cold protection: +5 to cold protection

Steel chain of accuracy: +1 to accuracy instead -1

Iron helm of life: +30 material points

Iron shield of Criticals: +2 to critical to hit and critical to damage

Steel shield of armor: +5 to armor

 

Fur gloves of radiation protection: +5 radiation protection

Racoon hat of life regeneration: +5 to regeneration of material points

Fur boots of Careful Guy: Gives Careful Guy perk

Fur torso of EMU: Gives you +20 carry capacity

Fur pants of heat protection: +5 to heat protection

PS. I just realised... how would you like poison your enemy with your pants? Gloves would do better.

Unless it only applied to the boots themselves? Having unbreakable minor items would have some value without being OTT.

careful guy is less chance to drop items when u die, nothing to do with break rate. so if it only applied to the boots then i guess i wouldnt mind seeing them, but then again there would be little to no use for these if they only applied to the boots

 

but a leather pants of NMT that only affected those pants would be cool, NMT just lowers break rate so eventually they would break. i kinda lie that idea.
