m_bee Report post Posted May 28, 2006 Things to check: -The connection is up (well, I suppose that the answer is yes...) - Your firewall settings (disable it, run the game, if you can connect, learn how to use a firewall before enabling it again) -ISP, check that your isp does not automatically block ports or something Knowing a bit more about your OS and firewall setting could help as well, since we lost our telepathic powers after the great cataclism in Draia
molgrim Report post Posted May 28, 2006 A short FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) by Cicero: ... I can't connect to the server If the error message says something about DNS, try replacing "#server_address = eternal-lands.solexine.fr" with "#server_address = 62.93.225.26" in your el.ini file See if you can view the "players online" page on the main web site: http://eternal-lands.solexine.fr/~radu/online_players.htm If you can view that page, but can't connect to the server in the game, then you have a problem with your firewall settings. Ways to configure firewalls vary greatly, but you need to allow connections through port 2000. If you cannot view that page, then there is a problem with your ISP preventing you from connecting. Try again later, or complain to your ISP. ... Sometimes help faqs are there for a reason
