Cilestiel Report post Posted May 21, 2006 Is there any way you can test your map's that you have made with like a 'Test Char'? at all or any kind ofprogram?
Cilestiel Report post Posted May 21, 2006 ummm... i know this might sound a bit dumb, but is that to test maps that i have made or the ones on the server, just so i dont do what to do the thing you said,
Acelon Report post Posted May 21, 2006 You cannot test the maps you made. The only maps that are tested are official ones for the game, and paid-for guild maps.

Learner Report post Posted May 21, 2006 there is a way, but it has lots of bug doing it this way. Basicly if you find a map that aready in the game that is the same size and overright that map with the map you made, your map will show when you go to that map in-game. However like i said it has many bugs as the server still thinks it is the old map, meaning it will let you walk on places your not ment to and wont let you walk on place you are ment to depending on what was there on the other map. But it can be good to test things like the particals (which have a big black box around them in the map editor, or just to see what it looks like with your player. If you try this make sure you have backed up you game so you can put it back to it was when finished. Doing this can get you banned for hacking if you are caught or file a single bad bug report! Under no circumstances is it safe to try this!!!!!!!!!
Kedan Report post Posted May 21, 2006 Oh ok i didn't know that, i always do it on the test server when i do it, is that ok or should i not do that either?
Dunian Report post Posted May 21, 2006 (edited) You can get rid of the particle box by right-clicking something while pressing a key iirc Edit: Shift-rightclick on the particle button on the top toolbar-thingy Edited May 22, 2006 by Dunian
Aislinn Report post Posted May 21, 2006 I think a good rule of thumb is: If you know what you're doing and should be doing it, you wouldn't need to be asking how. So therefore let's not publicly advertise how to screw up one's client and maps and el.config and port info. Edit: And if I see any more posts like that, the author will get all of the help_me's forwarded to them to fix the messes it made.
