The excecutable file will not run

I go into my Program Files, go into my Eternal Lands folder, double cliked el.exe and it wont start. I made a shortcut to it from my desktop and I cant start it from them either. Im in a rush cant search. Please help me!

okay... why? do you get an error message? if not, check error_log.txt for the reason

Did you install the full game first?

 

Did you install into the Eternal Lands game folder?

 

Did you get all the required files as the first post says?

 

Does your desktop shortcut have the path to Eternal Lands in the "Start in" section?

I installed it into my Program Files from an administrator account, but never ran it from the administrator account, Ive been trying to run it from my limited account. Could this cause problems?

 

Maybe its just because I need to run it atleast once from the administrator account for the game to have write acces to its files the first time?

That is what the directory looks like. Could the ZIP archive in the directory be screwing it up?

 

There is no error message text file, maybe It wont start because the first time I run it the client adds some files to the directory, but cant since im a limited account. It cant even add e error message because I do not have write access to the directory, so the client dosent either.

if we can't easily see file names then a screenie isn't much use

unlikely
It cant even add e error message because I do not have write access to the directory, so the client dosent either.
then you'll probably need access. at the least for that dir. especially if you want to have updated data files

Wierd. Okay I switched to the Administrator account and it played perfectly. I then switched back to my limited account and now Im getting the same problem again! Heres the error log, which is there now:

The game tries to write log files in the install directory, so write permissions will be needed. If you are going to run it under a limited account, the install directory will have to give you write permissions.
