Plot basic information:

Event plot description: A only and beloved child is being kidnapped in the White Stone Tavern. The rescue group is being created. They fight some monsters to rescue and escort the kid back to its mother.
List of possible Endings: 
1. The child return to mother safely - success
2. The child dies on route, mothers commites sucide - failure

Full plot:

Game master:
After long journey you finally are in the White Stone Tavern. Being here you have met many interesting people with fat and ugly tavernkeeper and cute waitress. You have talked also to <put name here>, the hunter from far lands of Grubani.
The afternoon is hot, but it doesn't prevent <put name here>, the little boy, running around and asking millions of questions. His mother, <put name here>, seems to be very sad.

Here players will have some time to walk around the tavern and chat.

Tavernkeeper: he is extremely busy, he won't want to talk to players too long, however he will be extremely polite.
a boy: he is just running around asking lots of questions
a mother: her husband died recently (was killed by some monsters) and only what left her is her son - the very most important person for her now. She is a bit too worrying about him now.
a hunter: he is sitting in the corner, rather not talkative; he seem to be thinking about something and being worried with it --> he is waiting for some decision by Lord Luxin (not important what it is, though)

Game master:
The night spread over White Stone. Nice, calm wind is making you feel very sleepy. Your eyes are heavy and what you desire now most is a warm bed.

Tavernkeeper: both will show players one of 3 rooms - 4th is for mother with son;
a hunter: will spend night in one room with players;
a mother with son: are going to the last room.

7 m
Game master:
Suddenly, the silence of the night is broken. You hear desperate scream from the <put name here> room. You woke up instantly and run there.

tavernkeeper/hunter: are also surprised and in shock
child: missing
mother: she is crying; seems to be in darkest sorrow - her son was kidnapped from her room; she has not heard anything; the window is open;

10 m
hunter: spotted some tracks from the windos (broken branches of the tree or anything like this); he asks 2-4 players to meet him outside the tavern and ask the rest to guard the tavern and wait for them;
tavernkeeper: asks rest of people around to go to the main room and wait there


15 m
At sewers entrance
Game master:
You can smell a sewers. It makes you almost vomit. Suddenly from the darkness there are coming strange looking monsters and attacking you!
During these words there must be started small invasion (like 10 goblins of all sorts) and it must be repeating (for example by 1-2 monsters) till the support comes.

17 m
Hunter: asks one of players to run for help
invasion is being continued

22 m
In tavern
all players will follow the one who will run for help;
all quest NPC will stay in tavern waiting for news

27 m
At sewers entrance
When players come the last tide of invasion (10 creatures again) shall be started; after defeating it players my enter the sewers

29 m
Game master:
You entered the gloomy, wet and odorous sewers. You're surrounded by fast breaths of your companions and the strange voices multiplied by echo.
a hunter: will request following him and will track monsters to their headquarters; players should be attacked from time to time by some monsters (there might be just an invasion started earlier in the sewers).

33 m
At headquarters:
The boy is being kept by monsters; a final battle; after finishing it players should leave sewers;
Hunter: will demand hurrying; he won't wait for players to follow him - who stays behind is lost for rest

36 m
After leaving sewers players will be attacked by last wave of monsters;

40 m
In tavern
all will be happy, mother will be thankful to players and the hunter if the kid is alive and will #suicide if it's not


Troubleshooting:
1. Players won't be willing to run for help --> Tavernkeeper will hear some noises and ask other players to go and check in the good direction;
2. The child may be killed in sewers --> #demigod; a moderator might tp child there soon before players find the swarm

Characters to be created: only if needed; probably none.
Moderators help: one mod as a child (with #demigod) or a moderator to #tptm child on time; also a moderator to #bc the event

5. White Stone City Sewers entrance (White Stone; 159,733), 5 armed goblins, 1 male orc, 5 male goblins; when players leave sewers

Ahhhh real gool ole roleplaying

It was VERY spammy.

It was very hard to see who was actually in the roles. I suggest that for a limited time, there should be a new command where names of those involved change colour to a different colour, and more importantly what they're saying into a different colour too (#rp blah blah). I suggest yellow or orange as thats not used much, and will show up in the blackness of the console.

 

Also, a channel where only those who are involved speak in the channel. This will help with all the unnecessary spamming.

 

Whilst some were out looking for Derin in the sewers, the others musta felt left out in a bit and where left hanging around inside the tavern. I'd be great if there was a small simultaneous mini-plot here to keep those peoples occupied.

 

For the extreme case: Mass mute!

I don't really have much to add. I had fun and was really getting in the RPing, even though I haven't done it before. I agree with some of magpielee's suggestions on highlighting text spoken by the GMs - I was having trouble keeping up, with all the spam in there. And I had a few people pming me too, which didn't help.

 

I would have also liked to have another plot going on at the tavern while everyone else was out fighting monsters. Vendettaisme was great help, RPing in the tavern so we didn't get too bored.

The reason that I did that is because you upset me. You were ruining the entire event by running to Derin ahead of the party (which you were not suppose to be part of in the first place) .. You wouldn't listen and then you were also having everyone else in the party run ahead of scheduled events such as the planned invasion. I edited all non RP text from the log so that it would be easier to read, also.

Vanyel couldn't have possibly known what was going on down in the sewers. I was busy trying to keep it altogether so nothing would fall apart. I did make one comment in local. Yes you did run ahead of the party which you weren't invited to and trying to hurry everyone to where Derin was located. Plus you weren't doing RolePlay at all. It wasn't a contest to see who could find Derin fastest.

 

Don't be discouraged. I'm glad that you wanted to participate. We will fine tune this event team as it evolves. Next time that you want to be involved, pay attention, follow instructions and be part of the role play or don't play at all or just be a spectator and say nothing. I'm not trying to be rude or anything. You did throw things off a bit. Its ok, the event wasn't ruined. It turned out to be a huge success thanks to all involved and especially thanks to Vanyel.

yeah but you died so it was fun that way. You roleplayed the foolish, young brave warrior. (the type that tries rashly to rescue, only to fall and be rescued himself/herself).
